I don't think that you should learn SEO because this way of getting traffic has a lot of competition for many niches and you could be wasting your time. It is way too complicated and there is no guarantee that it will work for you.

You want to learn how to market online and learn what are the best strategies out there for you to use.

    One suggestion:

Never pay anyone to do your SEO for you. Again, this is not a good strategy because the search engines are always changing how they rank websites. Your site can be on page 1 of Google very fast but it may not be there after 4 weeks. You can never rely on this strategy alone.

That is why I always tell people to have a few places getting them traffic. When one DRIES up, the others still work well for them and getting them that important consistent traffic that they need to stay "above the water".

So you would use SEO along with social media and other methods to get your traffic?

Im just interested in learning a basic knowledge, so i understand more as I know nothing.

This is true. I still think you should learn basic on-page seo. This is easy and mostly common sense. Make your title fit your content, tag your images, etc.

I strongly recommend the latest edition of this book, which I've found extremely helpful (unlike a lot of online "(mis)information" from people selling services and graduates of the Urban Myth School of Internet Marketing, there's a great deal of quality control, peer-review and meticulous care and research underlying its publication - and that matters!): Search Engine Optimization For Dummies: Peter...Search Engine Optimization For Dummies: Peter...
