Hi everyone.

I want your opinion of how to make $1,000 online. This is not for me but for a friend of mine on Facebook; I will keep her name anonymous. The purpose of this is just to help her out. I will forward her the link of this thread after a good amount of responses.

She literally does not have any money so please don't comment saying spend money with AdWords. Any free tips would be awesome.

Again, this is not for me.

The best your friend can do is to offer some services such as on fiverr.
I know some people who regularly makes thousands a month on fiverr by offering services such as writing etc
or if she has got some skills such as graphic designs etc, still she can make money from fiverr and other related sites...

Do you know a good source of getting traffic on fiver like a e-Book? I don't have experience with them so I can't share that with my friend. Her husband just dumped her so I'm trying to help her out.

If a create a good quality gig, fiverr will send traffic to your gig. There is no particular way to bring traffic at fiverr. Most of the people utilize social media sharing and forum posting.

She used to make comedic videos on YouTube. I suppose she could be hired by people at WarriorForum to make videos for their website.

$1,000 a month is VERY possible with constant - though it will take consistent work and regular submissions.
Do they require taking writing classes at college? The typical Freshmen and Sophomore classes? She hasn't attended college.

How would she drive traffic? Does Constant-Content work like a Google search engine or more like a eBay search, where results are continually moving up or being deleted.

I would suggest Textbroker over Constant. TB will find a niche for her at HER experience level while she works her way up. The editing there will also teach her all she needs to know about grammatical perfection - without having to start at the perfected level. TB has paying titles to write and pays weekly. Constant puts speculative writing on a shelf and waits for the right shopper to wander in.

This may not be a popular opinion - but the numbers are not that different.

Textbrokers pays for every article you write - barring some unusual circumstance. A practiced writer can come to earn $7-28 an hour there.

      Constant Content Return on Investment
      Look at this:

      1. Write a 500 word article on spec
      2. Charge $50 full rights
      3. Get your SEO article past the Editorial Lord Protectors of the Mother Tongue
      4. Wait for someone to buy it, if anyone does
      - 35% - Constant's Commision

      You net $32.50

Eventually, over years, Constant's statistical averages demonstrate that 70% of all articles sell.

That sounds good - until you realize that this is averaged over the entire pool of writers and topics. This does not necessarily translate to individuals. If a writer writes 1000 articles about how the Sony Walkman is making a comeback - good luck selling any.

So let's say a writer increases their selling chances by writing to Public Requests and Standing Requests. Over a year or so, this writer may in fact reach that 70% conversion. Titles that are passed over for the Request get sent to the inventory shelves to gather dust until they sell.

If a decent writer is more interested in what you might make in the next couple months, it's more like a 40% conversion rate - if this writer publishes daily and varies their own inventory toward salable topics and requests.

      Now you're looking at:

.65 after Constant's Commission x .40 Conversion Factor = .26 Net before taxes, and about .87 of this in your pocket after taxes.

Meaning, this year you may get a TOTAL CONVERSION RATE of roughly .226 in your pocket.

That wonderful $50 article puts $11.30 in your pocket.
      $50 x .226 = $11.30

But it took you an hour to write to get past the gatekeepers. You had to research and polish it nicely. You're a quality-minded professional writer. Much better than one of those mill-grinding lackeys eh?

      Textbroker - Return on Investment

At Textbroker, you can write a 500 word article for $7 at level 4. Strike that, let's try Level 3 - a level almost any native speaking writer can attain. .01 per word.

Unlike Constant's promise of $50, that 500 word article nets you $5 at Textbroker.

Except it took you 15 minutes to write, because this order was for an SEO-minded IMer, not an Agency looking for "quality publication."

A beginning writer can net $20 an hour from Textbroker. Provided they step up to the plate. Moving up to L4, you can get 3-4 articles an hour (if you know how to pick the projects and avoid the consulting stuff, focus more on the SEO keyword stuff).

That "mill" is putting $20-28 an hour into your pocket. You're dealing with far more clients which you can message directly to gain Direct Orders from. Their expectations are frankly lower than Constant clients and that makes them easier to please.

      After tax, that's
      .87 x 20 = $17.40
      .87 x 28 = $24.36

TOTAL POCKET MONEY SOMETIME THIS YEAR

Constant Content: $11/hour + waiting and hoping for someone to buy your spec this year
Textbroker: $17-$25 /hour NEXT FRIDAY PAYDAY

Now, I'm not saying which would be better in the long run. But for someone starting out?

Textbroker, iWriter, PLR packs on WF (if those still work, I'm not sure - can someone tell me?), and Elance.

The trick isn't in landing high-paying jobs. The trick is in landing easy jobs you can produce without a lot of lags or hangups.

That is - for writers who write for money rather than pride. To each his or her own! When you go pro freelance writer, of course you can start on the Premium market - bespoke service and fewer select jobs. Some writers are happy choosing bulk titles, asynchronous production when they feel like writing, and setting THEIR OWN DEADLINES AND QUOTAS. Getting paid Fridays, not Honest Client Approval Days.

Finally - I'm not saying choose one article broker over the other. I'm saying, choose all. Start from where you are. DIVERSIFY and still be able to keep your chin up writing for mills. Get paid next week, not next month.

      Cheers.

total income for March 2013: 526.50 (a little over 30 dollars on average for each article that sold)

      Average output: 2 articles /day = $27 /day earnings

It depends of her skill. It does not mean she has to know everything, but at least some basic IM online skill.

She can create videos using Animoto and rank them to the front page of Google and put affiliate links into description. If she does everything right it is not a big deal (HA, again some skill is required)

Depending upon your friends interest, and her followers' (on social
media) interest, and whether or not she has any type of list, I would
    advise her to promote webinars.

There are high-content webinars that on the backend sell $497 -
$4997 products... very effectively. It only takes a few sales of such
products to have a nice chunk of change.

What makes this model fairly easy is that you don't really need to
do any selling (if you're uncomfortable with selling) you just spread
the word about these webinars using your affiliate links!

I do this all the time... sometimes even setting up a Facebook
Event to publicize a given webinar.

I suggest she sells her valuables on Ebay and Craigslist if she is desperate for money. Go get a job is the second step. Get a second job if she already has a first. Take the money she saves and invest in a course for ppc advertising. Study the course and set up campaigns. Start small and scale up.

There are lots of ways to go,
    1. Is she a good at writing? ask her to look article jobs @ iwriter.com, hellium.com As well as on freelancer market places like Freelancer.com , oDesk.com

    2. If she is interested with promoting products - Let her get into Amazon affiliate program and ask her to do promotion - It may require some investment on setting up host, buying domains and etc. Anyhow, by creating Facebook fan pages too, she should be able to promote the products and earn good amount of money (in that case - it is free, but not sure how far Facebook's terms and conditions allow this kind of things..)

Great - good luck teresarothaar! I hope it works out for you.

I want to caution you and others who may be interested in writing for an article broker: Since the Penguin/Panda updates, a lot of clients on TB think they will get an hour's work for $7. It's harder to find clients that are content with simple keyword articles. In other words, balance your time - if you find yourself spending more time sifting through high-end orders looking for fast orders - you'll lose your profitability.

      Find more orders like this:

      Client Title: Conservatory Repairs
      Chosen category: home and family
      Deadline:
      1 day
      Word Count: 450 - 550
      Possible earnings:

      $4.50 - $5.50 (L3)
      $6.30 - $7.70 (L4)

      Client ID:
      xxxxxx

Client Instructions (Important!) Write a short article about the following service Conservatory Repairs. You should split your short article into 2 sections and use a formal 3rd person style of writing.

Your article will be used to encourage users to request a quote for Conservatory Repairs. Try to be creative.

The first section should contain general information about Conservatory Repairs services such as which type of contractor performs them and what the service entails.

The second section should detail the different types of Conservatory Repairs, how long the job usually takes and any other pertinent information.

      -----------------------

      Example:
Just got a new washing machine? Need to get it fitted? Our expert washing machine fitters can help you connect the water supply and ensure your washing machine is fitted perfectly.

Whether you just need your new washing machine fitted or need the water supply moved our expert plumbers will accommodate your every need.

      And fewer orders like this:
      Client Title:
      Fashion and Philanthropy
      Chosen category: shopping
      Deadline: 1 day
      Word Count: 350 - 400
      Possible earnings: 4.90 $ - 5.60 $ (L4)
      Client ID: xxxxxx

      Client Instructions:
Write a sophisticated blog post focused on the philanthropic nature of companies/organizations that participate in philanthropy. Not only should the post be informational, but also it should be a passionate piece with a PERSONAL TONE. Don’t simply state which each company does in a pure informational tone. Adding phrases like “ I personally own a [blank] and I look forward to purchasing from them again in efforts to help spread awareness” in the midst of the information adds more personality! The bulk of the companies/organizations mentioned include an overall fashion, women’s rights, and entrepreneurship tone--so keep that in mind when writing. The entire post should be broken up into two main categories: fashion and philanthropy and just basic philanthropy. BELOW is link to a document that has a list of all the options for you to choose from for each category. Use ONLY TWO topics from the Fashion and Philanthropy category and use ONLY ONE topic from the philanthropy category. ANY topic written in RED MUST be included into the post, but pick the rest at random.

The information provided in the Google doc was taken directly from the websites themselves to provide a little background information, so please DO NOT simply use what is solely written word for word. Links to each site are given, so please use more information.

ADD PERSONALITY to the post by adlibbing while staying on topic. BE SURE TO MENTION ONLY OPTIONS FROM THE DOCUMENT. DO NOT ADD YOU OWN OPTIONS OR ALTERNATIVES. This post is intended for YOUNG, HIP, KNOWLEDGABLE, and EMPOWERED individuals, and the post should be written in a very POSITIVE and uplifting tone. Please AVOID awkward wording and the use of html text to designate headers or paragraph separation.

      Create your own title

      Source links to research:
      http:/www . xxxxxxxxxxxx. co...
      http:/www . xxxxxxxxxxxx. co...
      http:/www . xxxxxxxxxxxx. co...

      HAVE YOU NOTICED THIS?

      INSTRUCTION WORD COUNT: 294
      ARTICLE WORD COUNT: 350

Starting out, you might want to keep the math simple. IE, write 3 x $8 articles, take a break, write 3 more. This is reasonable in a 4-5 hour block of time.

Anyone who orders articles through a broker, please take my advice:
Your order will be filled much faster when you realize that a US quality writer will write more than one $6 article per hour. If you need an hour's work for $6 - your order will sit in the title pool for months. You don't access the US market with US writing for 3rd world hourly pay. No matter what a broker's marketing materials promise you.

You strengthen your own business when you have a realistic understanding of your own value chain. A typical US writer aims for 3-4 $6 orders an hour, or one article at $25+ per hour. The closer your instructions hit this mark, the more reliably you can quickly source the Panda/Penguin-proof content you crave.

Feel free to disregard this advice. It is, however, THE COST OF STAYING IN BUSINESS.

She could try promoting CPA offers offline via flyers, if she has a printer or access to one. If she lives in the US then its better as there are a wider range of offers available without needing to outsource the flyer distribution.

Obviously it will take a lot of flyers to reach $1000 if she promotes email/zip submits, but then again it would require at least writing 200 articles at $5 each if she went down the route of writing articles. Plus if she has no experience in writing articles, she will likely find it easier and more fun designing flyers.

One idea is to create flyers for e-cigarette offers then put them in places where smokers hang out such as coffee bars or canteens. This then gives you very targetted traffic.
