Clickbank - Earnings per hop

Hello,

I have made my first sale. I just want to know about earnings per hop. My earnings per hop shows 94 cents and my hop count is 14. What does this mean?

Can someone please explain what this means. Do I get paid for the hop clicks?

Thanks and regards

You actually don't get paid for any clicks on your links (hops). It's only a statistic, not something you are earning.

Earnings per hop is an average earnings per click (hop).

So for example you made a sale and earned a $10 commission. You had 100 clicks (hops) on your affiliate link. On average, per hop you made 10 cents. $10.00 divided by 100 hops is 10 cents per hop.

One reason it's helpful to know how much on average you're earning per click on your hoplinks is when you're paying to advertise you'll know how much you can spend per click and still profit.

      Hope that helps.

Exellent point. The reason newbies get burnt so often with advertising is that they don't understand the true costs. The earnings per hop number should reveal to a lot of affiliates that there's no way in the world they can make a profit from advertising their product.
