Co-registration leads - good idea or beware?

INTERNET MARKETING

I'm coming to the view that co-registration might be a very quick way to build a responsive list, providing you get some control over how the list is targeted, but I may be wrong - I've discovered a lot of what I thought were good ideas (some of them on this forum) turn out to be fluff.

Any views, recommendations, tips, things to avoid, must-haves when it comes to co-reg?

I'd definitely make sure you are in control of the path and the way that the user has to opt in to the co reg. Having done a lot of CPA marketing in the past and examining the back ends of email submit offers, I seen that almost all of them used the same co reg offers in their paths. This tells me that there must at least be some value on both sides in using them as they are all still in use to this day. I think it'll be a case of split testing until you can find an opt in method that gives you the responsiveness you need from your co reg subscribers.
