Has anyone ever used ServerPress?

There is an application called ServerPress which allows you to create virtual servers for WordPress Development, Etc. and then instantly deploy sites to your live server once they are ready.

I was thinking of using this to create multiple sites for testing on my local desktop PC before working off of my live server.

Has anyone used this application? What did you think of it?

Maybe I am old-fashioned... but simply downloading and installing XAMPP (from apachefriends.org) was always enough for me to have zillions of local instances of WP, test them, develope theme and other gizmos on them... and move them - if needed - to live servers.

This move to live servers is not "push-button-solution"... but if one can handle the installation of XAMPP, cerating database, running test installs - it shouldn't be a problem to click "export" in MySQL database > save as file, then move the WP files via ftp to live server and Import the database (all using phpMyadmin).

This ServerPress looks good. I've always developed WP sites live (with Maintenance plugin) as I find it more direct. Have tried InstantWP. Willl be trying it later today to build an actual client's site. Will have a full verdict of it once I've deployed the site live.

ServerPress is an outstanding upgrade to XAMPP for WordPress users. Literally a 5 minute install from unpacking to working on your first site. Just start the service, type in your website address in your browser and begin working on your WordPress site. The Premium edition lets you create any number of servers and development websites with pseudo top-level domain names that can be deployed to a live server in a few clicks.

My second choice would be Bitnami with XAMPP.
