New Email System to Replace aWeber

Hey gang,

I am looking for a new mailing system to replace aWeber. Not going to completely remove aWeber but looking for software that I can just load my list into and blast from my server or my desktop.

What's out there?

Have a chat with Andy Bailey of Commentluv, he recommends Amazons email service and has switched his lists over to that.

I am still with Aweber and considering my options.

Michael,

Have you thought of the consequences of doing that? I personally doubt if it's the best approach. "Blasting" suggests spamming in my mind. And even if that's not your intent, the receive and open rates are not bound to be too good as many of your emails won't get through. Yes, there are desktop solutions that use your own server but that can have consequences depending on how your are set up (hosting).

Keep your current lists in Aweber.

Build more lists in the new account, get to know
what it is all about and then re-consider your options
from there.

I always test things out first even if they come recommended
by a trusted source.

Just helps me understand them better I suppose.

Let us know how you get on with it & what kind of features
it has, reliability etc.

For many years I used Subscribe Me Pro. I think it is a bit dated now, but it is an excellent piece of software.

However, listen to what the others tell you. Mailing blasts yourself won't even come close in deliverability, and you are taking bigger risks in getting your server blacklisted.

Is there a compelling reason for you to consider this?
