Mailchimp: need a dynamic return URL on subscription

I have multiple source of signups on one list, segmented by "Source" -- a custom field.

When someone signs up, I need the "return to our website" url go the actual website they came from, NOT the generic URL that is set for the whole list. UGH. I sure as heck hope that after all this work in getting this set up, I can do this. I've got two ecommerce sites that I MUST be able to redirect to.

Thanks for any help.

Getting ready to give up. This is soooo frustrating.

I thought, okay, I'll design my own Thank You page. Did that. Added a custom javascript BACK link so that the user can return to the previous page. Added the new custom thank you page url to the form so that my custom thank you page is called instead of their form.

All of that works fine. PROBLEM is, they have the dang URL opening in a New Window, so hitting the back button/link goes nowhere.

      My scenario:

8+ very related pet websites. Sign-ups on all of them for the SAME weekly newsletter.

I wanted ONE list to manage with the hidden custom source code field saying which website they signed up from.

Two of those sites are important Ecommerce sites.

I can't have their potential buying process interrupted by not being able to easily return to the store that they were on.

I think I found an answer from this consultant: ChimpChamp | MailChimp Experts Directory

Using their Naked Chimp script (free), I use their script which has more configurable options and just not use the standard MC forms design at all.

    Phew!
