Affiliates Desperately Wanted???

Hi Fellow Warriors,

It was a long hard slog, but I have successfully got my product "The Start Your Book Home Study Course" on Clickbank for two months now.
Now to get better exposure, I intend to sell it as a WSO too as well as put it on JVZoo and Digiresults.

The problem is, although I have this excellent product (and this isn't me tooting my own horn, it's from the testimonials I've received) I have only made a total of 33 sales.
Now I don't have tons of cash to fork out and split test numerous Google and Facebook ads, so I need to recruit affiliates.
So I was wondering from the wonderful people in the warrior forum if they had any amazing ideas on how to recruit some top affiliates?

Any help, however small, will be a great help. I know I have a good solid product as of the 33 people that brought my product, I haven't had a single refund and one customer has already had 6 books written and published on the Kindle and is making a tidy sum of passive income from this. So I know it can help a lot of people out there. I just need a little help getting it out there and selling.

So if any of you have some great ideas on how to snag some big affiliates, I would love to hear them.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Glen.

One thing I've learned is this. Affiliates who can bring you new "blood" clicking through your funnels and putting money into your bank account... these guys are the movers and shakers.

And they respect other movers and shakers.

If you only have 33 customers, you really need to do what it takes to get the word out there yourself and get some "sales data" you can give affiliates.

    They don't promote "blind."

A real mover and shaker isn't going to promote something that's barely limping along. Anyone else who might be your affiliate... is really undesirable. They won't produce!

    So guess what?

Time to whip out the good old manual labor and put yourself in front of people. I'm in a similar situation as you, and that's what I've decided to do.

I don't like to "grovel" for affiliates. Plus, I don't have an up sell yet to maximize EPC and further entice affiliates. So you know what I've decided to do?

    Bust my ass.

There's no time to waste depending on someone else to flood your informatino product business with new customers. You got to put the work in!

Much like you, I also got only a tick over 35 customers, and, raving testimonials. You wrote it. Now you read it from my point of view. Feeling inspired?

    Probably not.

Do you see what I mean?

It's just not compelling. In other news...

I just launched my product 12 days ago. In those 12 days, since I've proven my sells, I've spent literally every waking monent setting up a NEW funnel to drive leads to my website...

...and convert them into prospects and then into customers.

You ought do the same. In a jiffy.

The point is I'm not going to cross my fingers and wait for affiliates to come around. I'm going to attract them. And that's a different strategy. It takes more than that than having a good product.

It takes being visible and making things happen on your own.

See, if you're new to the game... if you're going to sit down at the "poker table"... you can't be a weak player, or you won't get any respect from the real pros.

    The analogy carries over.

Get cracking. Put up a website. And write articles on your topic. And submit them to directories. And approach people with media and ask them to publish them.

That'll get you off on the right foot.

Thanks marc, i learned a thing or two from what you have said, I have launched products in the past but only through our blogs. I intend to join warriorforum to up my game in internet marketing and i definitely consider myself as a newbie here.

As for advice to the OP, why not create a contest for your affiliated or give a bonus to them that way, they will be encouraged to promote your product.

That is also sound advise ohcreate. I launched a contest when it first opened to try and attract affiliates. Unfortunately, I was - and still am, very wet behind the ears, so it didn't go to plan.
I'm definitely considering starting up a new one though.

        Cheers.

      Marc,

Thanks for the wise words of wisdom. You'll be happy to know that I'm not one of those "build it and they will come" types. I've been doing some serious legwork to get my sales page in front of as many eyeballs as I possible can.

Thanks for the great info though. I shall start putting it to some use immediately.

    Glen,

Glad to hear it. If you remember, when you get it going, feel free to send me a message and let me know just as soon as you start breaking through that barrier.

I always love to hear success stories from people because it really gets me motivated. I know that if we can't motivate ourselves, we're doomed...

But a little outside inspiration never hurts.

Plus, it's always fun to network with winners.

Just from your statement, I have a feeling you're going to make it in a big way. A lot of affiliate promotions are "I'll scratch your back because you scratched mine" types of deals.

You know it, they know it, that's just reality.

Some people want to complain about it, so they do. But that's not going to help. Or change the facts. Obivously.

That's why one of the best ways to get an affiliate? Is to sell a LOAD of their products and email them. "Hey I just sold a ton of your product. Great product, too! Thanks!"

    Heck, in that case...

You usually don't even have to ask.

    Marc

PS. I know when I first heard that technique I thought to myself, "Yeah, but I can't sell a ton of ANYONE's product right now. What else is there?"

That's just called the "results gap" between where you are now, and where you'll be in short order if you focus on, "Okay, but how can I do that?" instead.

Most people just ask the wrong questions!

    Me included sometimes (often).

One of the things you will need to provide potential super
affiliate is Earnings Per Click, and/or conversion rates. They
have a lot of great products they can promote, and they are
more likely to send traffic to a page that they know will
    convert.

You need to approach individual appropriate super affiliates
directly, but you need EPC's, and Conversion Rates, to give
them a means of comparing your products potential to that
of other choices that they have.
