I want to buy a plr site to start my online business but is that i good idea? Is there something i should look out for with plr site? I want a website that i can promote health products but i dont know if i should a blog type of website or landing page. And i dont know the diffrence exacly. I dont want to have to update the site everyday. So i think a landing page would be better.

My plan is to buy a landing page and start a ppc campain of facebook. Am i missing something?

    I would say yes.

Buying a PLR website could be a good idea or not. It really depends on what it is.

I would suggest that you study a little first or, if you can afford it get coaching from somebody that knows what he is doing.

Sure, it is possible to buy a PLR site and drive traffic to it. If you know what you are doing.

If you do not know what you are doing I can almost guarantee the outcome:
You waste a lot of time and money and probably only learned at the end that "something" was wrong. You would probably not learn enough to pinpoint exactly what you could improve and as a result either buy tons of ebooks and courses out of frustration or give up the whole thing completely.

By the way Facebook PPC is not really something fro beginners. That's like trying to learn horseback riding on a wild horse (probably a lame comparison as Facebook PPC is more like trying to persuade an ape to give you a banana - actually I am not 100% certain that the FB ad approval department is manned by trained monkeys. Not saying it is true. Just can not be 100% certain that it is not).

So, aside from coaching her how it might work better:

    1. Look up definition of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Landing_page
    2. Look up definition of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blog
    3. Take a look at http://advertise.bingads.microsoft.com/
as that is much more fitting for beginners.
    4. Now you have to find a good product to promote.
You can do that by going to Googl.com and see what is being advertised
there. Then look at Bing or Yahoo and see whether the same
product runs there. If not: Now you have a product that you can
investigate further. You found something that seems to work
in one market (Google) then it should be possible to make it work in
    another market (Bing/Yahoo).
    5. Now you can order a landing page.

This is proably a little short for a beginner but I think you get the picture.

The same goes for any PPC. Uneducated beginners lose money with PPC.

I agree about steering away from Facebook PPC initially. It can get really expensive, really fast and does not guarantee any sort of results just because it's "Facebook".

I recommend checking out already established and high ranking PLR sites first and foremost. See what you like about their site/services and also brainstorm how you can possibly differentiate yourself.

    Good Luck!

If you want a plr site, all you need is a blog and a shopping cart of some sort. Check out one of these ebooks on how to get started writing and selling plr:
Sell plr for cash by Lisa stoops
Become a plr writer by peg baron
Plr ATM by Tiffany Dow (now tiffany lambert)
Plr insider secrets by Ruth pound

Any of these would give you a good idea of what running a plr business is all about - I actually have all of them and they are all great!
Hope this helps get you started on the right path

PLR site is a bad idea, pretty much in every way you could imagine. PLR content won't get search engine visitors, and chances are it won't be very high quality to begin with.

Curtis, PLR sites are a perfectly fine place for newbies.... or even experienced folks who are in a hurry.... to start... IF they add their own content and make adjustments/edits to the content that's there already.

      Don't you think?'

        Eh, not particularly.

PLR content only adds value to the visitor experience if it is actually valuable content, not just what I call 'trash content' that PLR so often is composed of.

Also... PLR content adds no value at all on the SEO side of things. If there is a copy of the content already ranking out there on a different website, then your copy of it won't be bringing you any new traffic.

I think OP would be better off just writing his own content from scratch.

But of course, that requires real work

We are talking about two different things. The op is talking about a fully configured (around a niche) website with graphics, navigation, plugins, some initial monetization AND am very minimum amount of content as space fillerm or starter....

People purchasing such packages do it..,. either because they don't know how to build it from scratch, can't afford to pay someone to build it from scratch or... are just in a hurry.... they may even need the site for some purpose to which SEO is irrelevant.... lots of reasons.....

No matter though... to each their own!

The interesting thing there are a number of courses that teach you to use PLR, rewritten of course but, you may find after studying IM and learning a few advance tactics that you swing full circle and either use PLR or start creating your own products. I would start as Hpgoodboy suggested and get a coach to show you the ins and outs of using PLR.

At the end of the day PLR is a tool that can be used to better or harm
