[Newbie] Ok I have my Squeezepage, now what?

I have developed my squeeze page, with some offers, it is simple but hopefully decent. How do I drive traffic to the website? My niche is working from home (original, right? :p)

YouTube?
Solo Ads? (and on Solo Ads, what is a "SWIPE"?)

I did some searching and sure I missed something, but just a bit confused at how to give this a real go, but I am trying!

EDIT: I found out about a "SWIPE" but now seeing that people seem to be against Solo Ads, especially if you are new. =(

Well the next step is to get traffic.

Youtube is great if you are on a budget. Do you have a budget?

Otherwise paid ads can work. Do you have any experience generating traffic?

I do have some cash I can throw at this, but I have no experience in generating traffic sadly. I am however reading all that I can to learn, I am just trying to take action at the sametime!

I'm curious, here: what exactly do you mean by "squeeze page with some offers"? (You appreciate that a "squeeze page" is a page with a prominently incentivized opt-in and no other content?). Something with "offers" doesn't sound like a squeeze page (unless you're just referring to what you're offering to give people in exchange for their email addresses, but I don't think you meant that?) ...

I have the initial opt in page just for their email - which is to get a free pdf, on the thank you page I have a few optional offers to draw attention before they actually download the pdf. Hopefully I at least have it setup right, if not I will be redesigning =)

You've done well to start with list-building, anyway, rather than starting off with everything else and the kitchen sink but no list, as so many do. And I wish you good luck with it.

(Personally, I never hit people with "offers" on any thank you pages at all, any more, because I believe that although I can pick up the occasional sale that way, it's one I'll pick up soon enough anyway, and meanwhile I pay dearly for it in the long run by "coming across as 'just another marketer'," with the effect that the open-rate for my emails falls significantly after the first one or two. And I hate that and can avoid it. But this is one of those things that you have to test for yourself, because it perhaps won't necessarily be true for everyone, and it depends on traffic demographics, too.)

        Good luck.

I admit I have very little clue to what I am doing, however I could care less about what others are doing at the moment. I am simply trying to learn from scratch and this honestly seemed like one of the more simple methods. I am not expecting to get rich quick, or even get a sale, but I am learning the basics. If I fail, then I fail, and will try again.

You need to focus most of your efforts, on learning applying and mastering different traffic techniques

I have tested out many many different traffic techniques, but I have just a few I have really mastered and use all the time..

The key is not how many tricks you know, but the key is to master a few very well

I'm in a similar position. Where does the landing page fit into a website? I mean I have a number of articles but not sure if the landing page is supposed to be the home page or a specific page that you send visitors to once they are already on your page?

You are on the right track... well done. Ignore the negative poster above (why?)
List building is the best model to follow, do not get distracted.
Practice researching your niche, find out the real problems people want solved in that niche. Don't chase the high search terms in the niche, target the desperate search phrases, even if its only in the low 100's.
Then model your squeeze page copy and offer on exactly what these desperate searchers are looking for. If you do your research well then you wont need to offer something for free, you should be able to find a good affiliate offer to get buyers straight off the bat from your squeeze to your list.
As for traffic, media buys are good if you know your target audience, quirky straight to the point banner ads work well. Solo ads too, these 2 forms of traffic are easy to manage and pretty quick to get going if you have done your research..
For me, the research is 99% the most important part, get this right and the 2 forms of traffic above will get you good conversions.
Its all about conversions and not the amount of traffic you send. You can get 10 times the profit by sending only 10% of the correct traffic.
Well done on getting it going

I'm not quite understand your question.. Why do you have articles on the squeeze page? Usually the landing page is your squeeze page.

Traffic is the next step, youtube, facebook, twitter, ppc and solo ads are great too, it's also good to set up a sales funnel as well, so when your subscriber opt-ins to your list you offer them a one time offer, make sure it is something decent, welcome to the online world

Try Youtube. You can create small free video using Animoto and rank it to the first page of Google within hours. Or if you get money use Facebook ads. They are relatively cheap and you can get targeted traffic from Facebook.

I would suggest you to Start with Youtube Marketing first up, Create informative videos with sole Purpose for getting leads...

Create 3-4 Videos and then create links to those.. Try searching on Warriorforum or Google for ways to rank a video on top...

Spend 3-4 weeks doing that Until you find real success...

Always Remember it takes real pasions to become successful on your own.

Well, traffic depends on how much you're willing to spend. If you have a good budget, then you can start with solo ads. It's the fastest way to build your list, and with a OTO on the thank you page, you can even break even.

But, if you want to start with free or cheap traffic generation methods like youtube and forum posting (with your squeeze page link in your signature). These methods might take time, but they are quite effective too.

I agree with most replies... it would depend on your budget. If you have it, go for paid search.

However, if you want to try the "free" way, I suggest YouTube. Set up your own channel and include links to the squeeze page. You can also use free software to create short videos, mostly teasers about your "offer". Then write some compelling video titles, which are essentially your headlines. Again, include a link, this time on the description.

NOTE: Don't forget a call to action. Tell your viewers to "Click the link on the description field to claim your free blah blah"...

You can also participate in Facebook groups and fan pages of topics related to your offer. (For example, you're giving away an e-book on blogging for cash. You may want to look for pages on blogging, bloggers, etc.)

Take note though that these may take time. They are a good step though as you try to save money and you're learning your way through. What's important is you do something and see if it works or not.

      Best of luck,
      Rick

Focus on ways to get traffic. Remember without traffic your squeeze page is worthless. Research on the following options then choose what you are comfortable with:-

    - Video marketing
    - social media marketing
    - PPC
    - PPV
    - Forum marketing
    - Guest blogging etc

If you have the budget then PPV is the way to go. I recommend leadimpact and trafficvance($1000 deposit)
