How to find people to guest post on my Review/Blog Site?

Does anyone have any easy/smart ways of finding guest bloggers for your site? My site is in the health niche.

The easiest way I know of is to find bloggers (especially the mid-tier group) who you enjoy reading and think would add to your blog, then simply ask them. Some will say yes, some will say no. Some won't answer at all.

If you don't really care about the quality of the post as long as it's 'fresh' content or has the right keywords, register with as many of the guest-posting sites as you can find. Just be ready to wade through a lot of submissions from posters who care more about your backlink than your readers...

This is the way to do it. Unfortunately it's hard work:

    1. Search for blogs that are related
    2. Read the blogs!
    3. Nicely contact the owner
    4. Ask them to do a guest post.

This is not easy and not smart by the way. The easier and smarter way is to do guest posts on other sites. Once you have done that on enough high profile blogs and enjoy a nice stream of traffic an a PR of at least for, better PR5 or PR6 you will have an abundance of people ask you to do guest posts on your site.

If your blog's new, you might find it difficult to convince bloggers to contribute guest post. Though some will write just for fun, many contribute guest blogs for SEO purposes and for building organic traffic. I'd personally focus on getting your site as good as it can possibly be. Great blogs will naturally attract guest bloggers. Similarly, once you've built a quality site, you'll probably start to receive offers from complimentary businesses that are willing to contribute content in exchange for a link.

If you're just looking for fresh content written by someone else, look into freelancing sites and Fiverr. You should be able to pick up some quality content at a reasonable price if you can sort the wheat from the chaff.

If it is anew blog with almost no traffic it will be almost impossible to attract good guest bloggers.

    Here are 2 ideas:

    #1 - the one I recommend:

Build a fantastic blog. Write a great blog post every day or every second day. Be a guest blogger on other blogs. Get the traffic going and turn your site into an authority site...

That's a lot of work, but it will give you a very solid fundament for your online business

Once your site gains authority you will get lots of requests to publish guest posts on your blog.

#2: Buy articles, but I rather recommend you add your own touch and personality to your site.

Another way to get fresh content is the 'mini-interview', where you ask several people to provide a short answer to a given question. The question might be one you want to highlight, one that comes from your list or visitors, or just something in the news that would be of interest.

In your post, tell people what you are doing. When you acknowledge the people who contribute, tell readers why this person's answer is valuable. Link back to the contributor. Add the question, 5-6 answers, your answer and your wrap-up (your call to action - usually join a list). If you get enough answers, you can add them to an email and use that as bait for joining the list.

You may find it easier to enlist quality responders to furnish a short answer to a single question than to create a guest post, especially if you're new/unknown and you are contacting people looking to guest post for SEO/traffic.

This is a great suggestion. It is, as others have noted, hard to get people who will write a unique guest post for a blog with little traffic or authority. But answering a question is easy. You could even make this a regular feature and run a new question every week or every other week.

Also consider running interviews with your customers and readers. Have a set questionnaire and customize it a bit for each person, or create a unique list of questions for each profile. People love to share information about themselves, and they will love being featured on your blog.

I also have a free service to connect bloggers and guest bloggers. You can learn more at http://BloggerLinkUp.com/

        Good luck with your blog!

Search for related sites but not competing sites and offer to go a guest blog for one in return.
