Newbies why you should always double check everything?

Hello!

I just want to pass on some words of wisdom to newbies. A few days ago, I asked someone on Fiverr to create a couple of bespoke popup boxes for my website (around $35)

Whilst the design itself was very good, the most important part ie the "Submit" button didn't work, this means that nobody could subscribe to my list!

I realized this pretty quickly and learnt a valuable lesson in the process. Always test and check everything that you outsource as failure to do so might come back to bite you in the rear end!

  • Especially when using fiverr .

    • No Reallyyyy
      Not fiverr's fault...
  • I would stay out of fiverr for anything related to seo ,plugins , website building.I really believe that fiverr is only for voice over , fake likes or Youtube views stuff like that.
  • There's something to the saying 'you get what you pay for' too. I've had good luck with Fivver so far, but like Nicole Nahi says 'always test and check everything.' Very good advice there in an area that can be hit or miss at times. Thanks!
  • it's not like fiverr is no good but like the title says, double check... if you have the option to fully pay later on, do it... even if you are pro or newbie
  • Of course! I always check the work / opt ins / whatever that I have created myself as well. Just thought that would be common sense?
  • First of all well done for warning people of this.

I know Fiverr is good for some services but you
can expect to receive some dodgy stuff as it is mostly
only a $5 investment in most cases.

It's just like setting up your squeeze pages I suppose.

You should always opt into your new sales funnel yourself to
check the squeeze page, OTO, Up-sells, down-sells,
follow up sequence, any automation rules etc etc...

...Are all working before you actually decide to go live
    and promote it.

I suppose we should all double check the sellers profile
    on Fiverr first also.

    All the best
    Gavin

  • There are some good gigs on Fiverr but you have to be careful with anything you buy...Make sure you sort by "rating" if you are going to buy something off of Fiverr...
  • Yes, that's right! You always need to keep an eye on your outsourcers, especially when you're paying them low rates. These people are always waiting for a chance to cheat their clients. I don't know what they think they'll achieve by doing that. They'll earn a couple of dollars once, and lose a client forever, along with the referrals the client would bring in.

    Oh, well.
