Is it possible to get a good coach who is helpful

Decided to make one last try to get some help before I attempt to go out on my own. Apologize in advance for what is going to be a very long post but a bit of my background...I have been a content writer for the past six years and though I may not be the best writer around, I would like to think that I am better than an average writer who has never been out of work for more than 4 days ever since I first started writing. While I do lead a comfortable life writing for others, I find myself a bit stagnated and want to go up to the next level..writing for myself. I have tried a couple of times and while I managed to get the on-site aspects of building your own website, I seem to stumble each time on the off-page aspects...the marketing of the website. I created three different sites (even bought one) but each time had no idea what to do next and ended up letting the hosting account and the domain name expire. Now I have a fourth site that has been attracting around 2500-3000 visitors per month (even after Panda, Penguin) without me doing any kind of marketing apart from getting one single link from botw.org. While the main keyword may be somewhat competitive, I have a feeling that the site has got a very good potential if I manage to do some marketing (where I am stuck again!!)

I have read blogs, articles, purchased books and even joined programs. While blogs and articles have provided me with some good information, I find that books and programs concentrate more on mindset (usually takes up a quarter of the course), niche selection and keyword research (another quarter), how to set up a website (another 30-40%). The actual marketing (not just link building) is just 10-15% while the reality is that it is the most important aspect of a website creation, more important than mindset, what platform or site theme we choose, how brilliant our content is and as important as selecting the right niche. Majority of the content related to marketing is in a very generalized form or requires me to spend a couple of hundred dollars to purchase a new software that will point me to potential links that would require another couple of hundred dollars to get.

I do know the 'theoretical' aspect of marketing and maybe I should simply take the gamble and attempt to try out different things for the site...but I am a bit hesitant to do so. What I am looking for is someone who can help me out during the initial stages (not exactly spoon-feeding but maybe handing me the spoon so that I can feed myself!) Now I do realize that good coaches are providing some invaluable advice/education and I have nothing against those who demand an upfront fee as they are selling a service. But I am not in a position to hand out hundreds of (or even over a thousand) dollars at one go and I am looking for a specific type of coach who is a bit more helpful than business minded(?). Before I decide that I have nothing to lose except time and attempt to go out on my own, I would like to know whether any one of the following two scenarios are possible and if yes, where can I get such a coach:

Scenario 1: Read about it in a number of 'case studies'. I put up the hosting account, the domain name and set up the site. Select the niche of the coach's choice or my own (if the coach does not specify any niche). Do the keyword research and start writing (after getting the coach's approval if he/she desires it so). At the end of the first week if the coach feels that the site has decent amount of content, he/she gets me started on the marketing aspect, telling me what I should be doing first (being a bit specific to the site in question). This will be the 'homework' for rest of the week where I continue adding content to the site (a couple of articles every week) and the cycle repeats every week. At the end of the 'course', I transfer the site over to the coach. I get a first hand and practical education in marketing while the coach spends an hour or so every week and gets a readymade website with 30-40 page content and all the income that the site would have generated during the period (of course this is very much beneficial to me rather than the coach)

Scenario 2: Same as above..but I pay the coach. As I said, I cannot pay it all in one go but maybe a staggered payment will suit some. We will also split the income (with the coach getting a major share if payment is not too much) though I get to keep the site in the end. So I will get a first hand and practical education in marketing along with a decent website. The coach will get a fixed amount and a share in any income that the site generates.

Is such a coaching possible...are there any coaches who will agree with the above 'terms'? If so where can I meet them? Or should I simply try out different but 'semi-literate' ways of getting traffic to an existing site?
