Membership and Sales Page at same site?? ...or should it be separate domains?

Hey Warriors!

Do you think you should create your member's area at a different site than the actual sales page?

So for example, if yours sales page is at example.com/ ...should the member's area be at example.com/members OR MembersSignInSite.com?

I see people use both ways...what's your opinion and why?

You can keep the same domain and then just add a subdomain like www.yoursite.com/Membership.

That way it's separate but you don't have to pay for another domain.

This is also what I do.

    Hope this helps,

    David

You can also try membership.domain.com That's probably better since it's harder to get confused with this structure. If you use a directory, you might get confused and misplace a few things from time to time.

It really depends on your own setup. If you only plan to be selling the one product then that's fine.

I use a different (separate) domain for my membership sites but that's because I have a number of different products running through those membership sites and so it doesn't make sense to put it with just one salespage/domain.

So I might have 5 different products with 5 different salespage on 5 different domains and all of those products are served through the one members area which is on it's own separate domain.
