How do I list my domain on the most used search engines?

Hi there,

I have two business domains I need to put up on yahoo, msn, bing, google, etc

But I am not sure how to best do this, when I type in list on yahoo, you can submit a site, but it gives you 3 options, I think 1 is a paid for option, however I just want to make sure my domains are listed on any free search engine that is worth listing on...

Any simple way of doing this, without cost?

Cheers

Mike

You don't need to submit it to any search engines. Just get a link pointing to your site from any high trafficked site and the spiders will find you.

Well, its not as simple as clicking a list button on their websites. You need to do SEO on your site to get listed on their first pages.

SEO is basically links pointing to your site from wither authority sites or pages in your niche.

This could typically be a a popular site in your niche mentioning your site otlr linking to one of your pages, a social networks page, proably a fanpage update linking to your site, or maybe a YouTube video linking to your site.

These are not the only link building sources. You can read more about link building at the SEO section of this forum.

initially you need to get your domains indexed first and then start worrying about linkbuilding. To do this you need to point out the link of the domain's index file in your search engine control panel.

Is it the same one that was listed in another thread? There was some php code... alot of the things failed or timed out. I'd love to get a copy of the code too if available. :-)

      Thanks!

That are 'add url' pages for all the major search engines. The other thing you can do is search for your site directly, as well as social bookmarking...

Get people visiting your site and sharing, and you'll get rankings on the search engines...
