EBay is a great place to start looking. EBay is where so many people to go buy what they are looking for. Take a look at their HOT DEALS section it is full of HOT items that people are buying right and left. Or Amazon.com Amazon is another great place for ideas. I like going through their book section and looking under "Best Sellers" for ideas.
Another thing you can do is look through the magazine while you are waiting at the doctor's office. All the ads in there cost money especially the full page ads. The companies are not going to shell out that kind of money unless it produces results. It must be a HOT product for them to be advertising.

Twitter Search can give you ideas about what topics people talking about, then you can do further research into the niches related to those topics to see it they have legs.

Ebay, amazon, also look in digg. Find the top digged articles.

Yes, its true Ebay and Amazon. And maybe you can add Alibaba on it.

ProHotList membership forum is quite good for new and current niches. Michael Osaka I think it is that runs it, not sure if he currently has a wso for it or not.

almost any niche that people spend money in is "hot". Pick one, develop a product, give away a freebie intro on an optin page, and then sell the product to your list over time.

It's not rocket surgery or brain science

Ebay is one of the better places to look. I've had decent luck with Auction Inspector also. It searches on Ebay for what buyers are interested in and shows you high interest low supply items. Good luck!

Bunch of great methods already discussed in the previous postings One additional method I would recommend is to keep an eye on the articles being submiteed to ezinearticles.com.

Most people continue to submit articles on niches that are making them money so by learning to watch a select group of authors on ezinearticles.com you can find out what niches they are making money in and then start your own domination of the niche or niches.
