Product Launch Questions - Can I do a presale with jvzoo?

I've sold a few different products before - mostly with clickbank. But, I've never done a complete "product launch" like the one I'm currently trying to put together (e-book). So I'm wondering:

1) Does anyone have any experience doing a "pre-sale" where you offer the product at a reduced rate if someone will purchase it without the product actually being ready. Then send it to them in a week or two when it's finished being put together. I'm thinking of switching to jvzoo. Can you do this with them?

2) I'm also looking for any great general insights on putting together a successful product launch.

Thanks WF!

I've never really seen this done before nor would I do it. I don't see any reason to do this. Your prelaunch should all be about building buzz and desire for your product so that when it finally does launch, people can't wait to buy it. Offer the reduced rate for the first 24-48 hours after launch to get the fence sitters buying.

That's a very open ended question because a successful product launch takes a lot of planning and many things working together. Probably the most important thing I would tell you to focus on is your product and your affiliates. Without a good product or good affiliates you will struggle to sell.
