Are your websites easy to read on smartphones or is the font tiny??

Hi, I'm just looking around themeforest for a decent responsive theme as I want my website to look the same on smartphones and tablets. The problem is that most of the responsive themes look great on my phone bar the font is still tiny and almost unreadable, why is this? I thought the font should stay at a readable size?

What is the story with this if anyone knows, I really need a good mobile ready theme.

    Most mobile ready themes simply adjust for the size but leave the font size as is.

    The best practice is actually to use a different theme or layout for the mobile phone pages.

    The adaptive themes try to look good out of the box and on the screen shots. Real mobile sites are ugly.

    No or only tiny graphics and the font size is ugly-big. But that does not look good on the sales page. So the designers got "smart" and under-optimized the theme so that it looks pretty but is actually not really usable on a smart phone.

    I use a click-bump theme that seems to do well at re-sizing for many different size screens. If you want to PM me I can send you some samples to how they look.

    My website looks awesome on mobile without any other mobile template, if the user thinks the text is too small, they'll use pinch-to-zoom.
