Question about Solo Ads - slightly naive/dumb question lol

I just was informed about Solo Ads, and was looking at some vendors. When they say "250 clicks", that means 250 clicks to your link right? Meaning 250 people open the email and click on your link. Or is it 250 people just open your email?

It means that you provide your offer/link to a Solo Ad provider. He/she will take your swipe message to use for the ad or often times, they will rewrite it to suit the attention of their list. They then ensure that your offer link is clicked on at least 250 times in your case.

The really reputable solo ad providers will over-deliver most of the time. The most recent one that I used as a test for 100 clicks sent me 149 clicks and I ended up with 72 opt-in's, but your success will depend upon how well your offer converts.

    Hope this helps.

I'd recommend you use your own swipe. What most people fail to realize is that the reason most of these solo ad sellers will want to use their own swipe is so they can write up a blind message just to get the clicks. Which essentially means the swipe is written in such a way that the person who clicks on the link hasn't a damn clue what the offer is going to be until they reach your squeeze page.

You'll get the clicks, but most often the visitor will not be interested in your offer.

Just a thought. If he/she wants to write their own swipe, then ask them to send it to you for your consideration before they send it. Better yet, ask to put onto the list he/she sends the offer to.

Too much B.S surrounding solo ads these days. People building junk lists and then pimping them out for profit. If the list was in any way valuable there's no way they'd pimp their list out in the first lace.

Maybe a couple of years back these worked well (and there are some reputable sellers) but these days I'd be very wary.

    Just a thought.
