I was wondering if anyone knows of a simple to learn web hosting software. One that does the eCommerce, domain set-up, user emails sending ect the whole process from start to finish, but automatically.

Thanks in advance, Todd.

I use AWBS - Advanced Webhost Billing System - formerly DRAMS It does everything you need.

WHMCS and WHM AutoPilot are both popular.

Some reseller web hosting plans provide these for free.

Hmm free you say? That's music to my ears! So Auto Pilot is just a set-up in WHM ?

Yes, but if it were me I'd go with WHMCS. Almost every host I come across uses it.

There's WHMCS, but there's also Hostbill which is excellent (and used by many top-tier hosts).
WHMCS is monthly, Hostbill is one-time.
The free stuff is all junk, to be completely honest. Lots of security issues.

Hostdime and MDD Hosting both include WHMCS licenses for "free" (part of the plan costs).

Go with WHMCS. It is less technical to use and its ease of use will be a plus for your customers.

WHMCS handles the ecommerce part - all major payment gateways and has its own shopping cart. What do you mean specifically?

There are numerous addons: Community Addons - WHMCS

Go with WHMCS. The price is the best you will get but it works. We used Plesk Billing for years and it was horrible.

WHMCS can be setup within a day and will handle everything you need. You can also use it for software and member sites too but it's main strength is managing hosting infrastructure and billing. For $18.95 a month do not bother with anything that is free. WHMCS constantly maintains their software and given many hackers will try and break into your system you need to ensure the devs are active in keeping on top of security. WHMCS do. Ensure your admin part of WHMCS is behind an obscure URL and password protected with IP restrictions and only use it from a static IP. I have seen too many hosts with their admin side exposed. Ensure you have set robots.txt to not allow crawling of your WHMCS URL.

WHMCS is by far the most reliable and feature packed.

WHMCS is widely used and accepted by web hosting providers. It has a lots of features and easily integrated with WHM, C Panel and Mostly Domain registrar.

WHMCS - widely used, offered free with reseller accounts at many providers. Downside is they release buggy updates that break other stuff. Their QA team sometimes appears to be "off" at times. Small up front investment.

HostBill - Great software & developers, poor business model. Any support, even pre-sales costs money. Larger up front investment.

Ubersmith - Is way out of most peoples price range & you'll need a dedicated development team to integrate it properly.

Blesta - Seems to be up & coming however, not sure how it compares to WHMCS given the size of the WHMCS community.

ClientExec - It's alright, not as widely developed on as WHMCS.

There's also others we've looked at however, WHMCS is widely used, has a great reseller program as does ClientExec; we offer both for resellers. Thinking of switching would be a nightmare as we have a ton of custom modules to do various tasks, account creations etc.

When WHMCS releases an update, you need to be careful applying it right away as it could break things. WHMCS was also purchased by cPanel but the development/support hasn't gotten that much better...however, it is a software company, not a 24-7 tech company.

WHMCS would be the best option to start with, even ClientExec, but I believe WHMCS is more widely used.

So what do you subject for eCommerce program? I was told to use open cart for auto processing.

Well - for an "eCommerce" site something like OpenCart/Magento would be better. For providing services, hosting, design etc.. a solution such as WHMCS would be better suited.

WHMCS will do everything you asked in your first post along with create/register domains if you have a domain reseller account such as Enom/ResellerClub etc.
