Do You Own A Brick & Mortar Business?

Hey Warriors,

This question always puzzled me.

How many of you own a brick and mortar business?

It can be either your primary income, or something you do on the side away from Internet Marketing, or both together.

You don't need to provide any details, just curious if there is a lot of you that frequent this great forum.

I've had several opportunities to do this, but I turned them down. I would only go this route if I had well trained staff that could run the business for me. But since I already have 8 employees that work remotely, this works fine for me.

It is okay to contact me! I have been developing software since 1999, creating many popular products like phpLD.

No, but I'm not against the idea. An online business model seems to work the best, with all of my time constraints.

I own 3 brick and mortar businesses plus my online businesses plus a few other things. I would advise not doing it my way though. I'm stretched to thin and it makes it very difficult to give each business the right amount of attention. I'm working on switching to being all online. I actually make enough online that I could switch full time to it but shutting down the brick and mortar businesses isn't as easy as it sounds :-/ Especially when family is involved haha.

    *sigh* I'm tired..

I have property rented out in Australia, but IM will hopefully become my primary source of income very soon!

My wife and I (mainly my wife) are also renovating a small property across the road from us in France which we will also rent out when finished thus providing some more cash. But this is a year or two away.

But my IM will make all these property incomes insignificant (the power of positive thought).

My main income is from my brick and mortar business. I've just recently ventured into IM as a side business.

    Thanks everyone for your input.

Pretty much an even split in the poll so far, don't forget to vote.

Is web development (aka: offline consulting) considered a brick and mortar business? That's my primary business
