How to create a Squeeze Page like this one

I want to create a squeeze page like this one:

Free Alkaline Diet Newsletters Subscription (Worth $19.90)

( this is nothing to do with me. I am not promoting it.)

Anyone know if it was created with a plugin?

I know of Lead Rocket but I don't think it includes a way of including a book image as this one does.

Why, Sandy? It will almost certainly convert significantly better without that background picture - just with a plain white background. They always do.

Alexa, I have already changed my health niche squeeze page from a plain white background to something similar to this without the report cover image and it is converting better.

It maybe of course that I could still make my plain white background one convert better if I tweaked it even more.

Ooh, well done. I'm very surprised (but very interested, also!) to hear it: everyone with whom I've previously discussed this has always said the same as Chris, here.

It does go to show that there's no substitute to "testing for yourself".

      almost certainly?

got any actual metrics to back that up?

I know for a fact that it's not true.

Looking at their source code I'm pretty sure it was made using good old CSS + HTML. Also I personally like squeeze pages with image backgrounds. It wouldn't hurt to test the conversion rate against a squeeze page with a plain white background.

Yeah, it's definitely worth testing. The problem with squeeze pages that use background images like that is the huge size of the background image. Even on my super fast Internet connection it took a good few seconds for the background image to load up and until it did, I couldn't see any of the rest of the squeeze page. That's an issue. The optin offer should be visible the moment people hit the page.

Boy that really does look nice. It sure seems to be just an added way to give the site a bit of authority with the user and convey messages. Thanks for that example... I am going to save it for personal reference.

Do you suppose that is optimizepress laid right over the background?

My guess is that this is an optimizepress squeeze page placed over a background image as others have suggested. The best squeeze page is the simplest and ugliest with very few images. Squeeze pages must load quickly as you only have a few seconds to make an expression.

Wow. Very refreshing squeeze page. I hope the content is also as good as the opt ins page.

I bet they have use optimize-press for this.

No Optimize press wont do this type of squeeze page but wasn't there a WSO that had a software/plugin that does this I think it might not be for sale anymore but not sure.

    I agree with the background....
Would also say it's a plugin like optimizepress, instabuilder, AP3 or a special squeeze page plugin...

You can probably have a html and css template made for you on elance or oDesk pretty inexpensively.

If you know how to code html and css, you can follow this tutorial. I use it all the time and it works great. I use technique 2.

Yes, that was going to be my next port of call if it was not created with a plugin.

      Thanks Drew.

I just came across an article that you might find interesting:

The solution? Defocus the background image.

    Sandy,

Yeah, that is a HOT squeeze page and it looks really nice.

You can hire someone on this forum who can do this for you.

I don't think that your opt in rate would be higher then normal if you had a squeeze page like that. You just need a simple looking one.

The best thing is to create both squeeze pages where you have a simple page and then have a page that looks like that one that you want to get and then see the conversions on both.

    Track things down.

    Hi Sandy,

The closest you're gonna get to that is by using...

...LEAD ROCKET PRO plugin for wordpress.

You get all backgrounds, lead capture designs included.

I've used it for several of my squeeze pages but I do agree
that from my testing plain white backgrounds do just as well.

There are many factors involved though so don't assume...

    ...ALWAYS TEST FIRST!

    Hope this helps

You can easily use a wordpress plugins for this.

There many out there. I like using instabuilder.

I think leadrocket is a similar one.

I guess you can check the WSO section for wp plugins.

There is a free WSO offering such templates for a sign up.

I found somewhere on the net as well a site that gave away for an email templates of this kind.

They are all HTML, CSS + some JS and a big pic (preferably, small file size).

This type of effect can be done with simple html and css coding. As long as you know how to add and customize your autoresponder code, this is very doable without wordpress or any wordpress plugin.

I use the Launch Effect plugin to do the same thing.

It has a built in referral code, countdown timer, etc.

I like the way it looks, it converts better for me personally, but maybe because of the countdown timer itself.

It also has built a built in referral and tracking system that's very nice which I am using to give away free products to the person who sends the most converting (to opt in) referrals each week.

Most people don't know about affiliate marketing, but if a person opts in to what they know is a product site they obviously are interested enough to type their email and click their mouse.

With just that level of engagement I have found that I can get a LOT of referral traffic by offering a free copy of whatever product they have opted in about. The launch effect plugin just has a dashboard after they log in that has some social sharing buttons and a unique referer url and stat tracking.

It is a VERY short step from entering your email address and clicking send to get info about what you know is a paid product and clicking some chicklets to maybe get a free copy.

I saw in this post one complain about the load time of the huge background image, and this is true, until it loads you won't be able to see anything else.

BUT, if you put the background image on the bottom of the code it will load everything else, and then the image. So while the nice graphical background is loading, that optin form is already up and in their face.

OptimizePress lets you do what specifically? I know you can build squeeze, landing pages with it, but does it let you mess around with the code to determine what gets loaded first in your browser?

      Please clarify.
