Google Plus help needed

I have used Google Plus for a while. First only for ranking, but now I have discovered how great it is for building a following on a certain topic and driving traffic to your main site.

What I basically do is that I add good content frequently to my G+ site and then join groups/communities related to my topic and add the members of the groups in my circles. The same thing you can do with pages.

In just a couple of days I have more than 300 followers who plus one and share my stuff :-) The traffic to my site from G+ gets a boost and I've seen improvements in my rankings.

This is working!

The thing is that some of the groups and pages I am targeting have too many followers to add manually, so my question is if there's some software that can help me with adding the members in a specific group or a specific page to my circles.

Any help with this issue would be fantastic.

Best regards,

Timi Lindeman

It is a lot of work but it's ok since it gives so much in return. Still I think it is strange that no one have created such software.

Programmers out there, this could very well be the next big thing :-)

    Timi, you joining G+ communites?

BTW - I doubt they'd allow mass adds or follows. It just encourages too much BS.

Yes, I join G+ communities related to my topic, add all the members in the community and get added back on a 1:4 ratio.

I add content both on my own "timeline" and on the community timelines.

With a targeted audience like this, every post added gets around 10-20 G+ and some shares. This is from around 300 people in my circles.

This is already good numbers but with more people in my circles the G+ and share would go up even more :-)

Why are you adding all of them? Wouldn't it make sense to only add the ones that are contributing decent content?

Basically you could just stick to joining the groups/communities and post on their timeline, cause the post will be sent to all within the group.

I add them all to get as many as possible in my personal circles, so that every post I make on my personal timeline gets the biggest audience possible.

I believe this way I build more authority, but I could be wrong...

Just adding the ones that are contributing decent content makes sense, yes, but I have noticed that a lot of people who never or very seldom post anything, tend to push that g+ button or make a comment.

I am doing this within the music niche right now. Big bands/artists have a lot of loyal followers.

I guess other good niches would be sport teams and their supporters or the gaming niche. If you really start to think of it you will find lots of good niches to target.

Just made a G+ search for communities within the gaming niche (search word "gaming")... It is huge!

Fb is a bit different cause you don't have the same possibility to add people to your circles, which to me is like a lighter form of the "friend" request on fb.

What I do on fb is that I join the most active groups in the niche I want to target and interact with the people there. Like and comment on other peoples posts and every now and then add your own posts. I think the key is not to over-promote your own stuff, rather have the mindset "how can I bring added value to this group".

If you are active you will get people to listen when you speak. Your posts will get more likes, get more comments and traffic to your site grows.

I also target the most active pages with the most members and start interacting in the same way as with groups. The downside to pages is that you don't get your own posts visible in the main timeline, but I have noticed that after you been active on a page for a while the admins tend to pick up your posts and re-post them on the page timeline....and this means a lot of likes and traffic :-)

Sometimes I also send a personal message to the page owner telling them that I like the page and friendly ask them if they would consider giving my main site a shoutout.

It works almost everytime if you are friendly and don't push it.

After given both Fb and G+ a real try I think G+ is easier to work with and brings more traffic.
