Wordpress niche blogging or youtube marketing?

Hey guys,
These days it looks like Google has deleted from its search results all micro/sniper sites and replaced them with youtube videos...

Is this a turning point? Does it mean that the best way to rank and get exposure is youtube marketing?

What are your thoughts on this?

    Video seems to be the hot topic, many launches on video and a lot of marketing articles focusing on video.

    It seems to be very easy to rank a video so long other videos are not listed.

    Looks may be deceiving.... You are making a massive claim here that is simply not true.

    We have placed a number of brand new WordPress sites onto the 1st page of Google within a week of building them.... All within the last few weeks.

    Also, we have a teammate in the Philippines who after joining our team build a bit over a week ago bought a brand new domain and stuck his 1 page WordPress site in the #1 spot of Google for his target keyword in 6 hours.

    On all of these search engine results pages that we have quickly placed sites on, there are indeed videos being listed as well... But I will gladly note that those videos are showing up under our micro/sniper sites.

    So in all honesty, your best bet is to do both if you want maximum exposure.

    I'm going to go with niche blogging. Lots of demand for really niche longer content, and the number of people looking for high-converting YouTube descriptions dropped off a few months ago.

    Well, YouTube is the third highest website in terms of traffic behind facebook and google in that order. That means that Google owns two of the top 3 websites.

    The name of the game in high traffic websites is "engagement" or the ability to keep you on their site as long as possible. If they can't show ads to you while you're searching, they can do it while you watch videos. It's in their best interest to keep you on their property.

    So the point is... Google is going to rank what makes them money.

    That's also by blogspot blogs do so well in the rankings too. But think about it, why would they want to compete with the billion other textual content providers when they completely dominate video?

    Why not use both strategies for your products/promotions. In this case have both the site and videos that send traffic the the site as well.

    Not only doesn't it look like that to me, but I'm genuinely having some difficulty accepting that you could seriously imagine that that's so, as a result of which I'm wondering what your real agenda is in mentioning it: no offense meant at all, but it seems to me to be a seriously bizarre thing to believe (and of course anyone who wants to investigate for themselves can very readily see that it's completely untrue).

    I'm interested in income, not so much in "exposure", myself, because I'm running a business.
