Hey Guys,

I was trying to find an easy way to convert my mp4 videos into mp3 files? I feel this is good for making multi-media products and giving the customer playback options. I saw a few options online but didn't want to download software or pay for any until I know which ones you think work best

If you're the creator of the video you could just render the mp3 out of your video program without rendering the video. Render As>mp3

Hi,
You can use professional and appropriate MP4 to MP3 converter it does what it says. I have used this converter for converting mp4 video clips to mp3 so that i can listen it anywhere i want to and it works great. Even you may also try it, hope this may work for you and satisfied your need.

I use VLC - it converts between video formats and also lets you turn them into MP3s.

Versions for Windows and Macs & it's free.

You may also use iDealshare VideoGo to convert MP4 to MP3 on Mac or Windows computer.

It can convert MP4 files to MP3, WAV, AAC, M4A, WMA, AC3, DTS, FLAC, AIFF, CAF, etc. It also supports converting other video files like FLV, WebM, OGV, MOV, AVI, MKV, etc to MP3.

1) Open MP4 in Quicktime player.
2) Export as "Audio Only" which will dump out an .m4a
3) Import into iTunes and create an MP3 version, edit ID3 tags, etc.
4) "Reveal in Finder" to locate the new MP3.

Audacity for Mac. Drag MP4 into program screen. Audio will fill edit area. Edit as desired. (Much of non-music audio is too low - I suggest applying compression and/or EQ). Export to Mp3.

I use and recommend File Wiggler. It works great plus the best part is that it's free. Can't beat that combination!
