Just found an awesome resource

This website is awesome.

It is "the short cutts" aka a shortened summary of every single video that Matt Cutts has published on the Google Webmaster Youtube channel.

As most of you probably know, Matt Cutts works for Google and makes videos that answer questions about SEO and other online stuff that Google does that can affect us.

Well this site has taken every single video, had someone watch it, and then summarized his answer from multiple minutes of video into a single sentence.

So with this... you can read possibly 100 hours' worth of Matt Cutts responses... in maybe 1 hour.

Q: Will Google be evaluating the use of rel="author" moving forward?

A: Yes, they're always looking to use that signal in useful ways. E.g. It may mean pages on non-important sites are surfaced if content is written by an important author.

BRB, changing my name to a famous author.

Is this really true? That may be a big secret.

Google has been using the rel="author" for a long time. It is especially useful when merged with Google Plus, because it allows Google to show the author's image next to the article's link.

You are the best thank you! I did not expect this from this particular thread and I was literally saying to myself yesterday that I need to research Matt Cutt's advice more and this will help my efforts.

Matt Cuts always uses too many words to explain something, but I never needed a website that will translate it to shorter text tbh..

There can be a great divergence between what Matt says and Google does. Be aware of that as you listen to Matt and know that he is just one person talking about Google's approach to trillions of web pages.

He tells us what Google wants us to believe, not what we need to know in order to tap into Google's traffic base.

Very interesting website. I read a few summaries.

Words are only words. Nothing is really working this way into practice.
