Best Site If You Have a Targeted List

Hi,
First post and it is for a friend that owns a wine shop. He has an email list of about 4,000 active clients that buy wine regularly. He wanted to put his list up for rent or let others send offers to it. What are the "warrior" recommended sites for putting up a targeted list?

    Why not go directly to people (sites) who might have interest in promoting their stuff to your friend's list and arrange a deal?

      have your friend promote his products to someone's list...and have that person promote to your friend's list!

      He could double the size of his list in no time.

    What terms did he set when he got the opt-ins? I ask as many autoresponders state you'll never sell or pass on their details to a 3rd party. Going against this will rapidly lose customers.
    Of course there's nothing wrong with your friend finding suitable products to promote himself.

    there's a warrior who just posted here over the weekend who has a list of customers who buy his 'make your own wine' products.. it might be a good jv for your friend.

    the thread was something along the lines of 'looking for outside-the-box ideas'..

    Tell him to be very careful w/this.

    I had a client years ago w/a 10k list and was offered big money to market to it. Turned out that he lost 40% of his customer base because of the spam that came through the list after he rented it.

    An exclusive client 4k list of quality emails is GOLD. I wouldn't sell or rent it for any price. Brick and morter wine shop??? Do you know how much credibility you'll lose if you rent or sell this list of names / emails?

    You can ruin a 10 yr. business reputation in a few days.
