Problem selling window foil in magento webshop

Hi,

I'm selling window foil with a Magento webshop.
When they click a window foil page I have 3 boxes for them to complete to give them the price.

1. Width (45 or 67.5 cm) , by default the 45 is selected
2. They enter the length in CM.
3. Amount (1 by default)

The number 2 box has a nice colour and the cursor is already blinking there so people know they should enter something to get the price.
Under the third box is a nice button that says "calculate your price".

I have installed MouseFlow to see what's going on, but people just don't enter the length and hit the calculate button. So people are just browsing around for a minute and aren't even interested in the price? I find this very hard to believe. We've made the calculator so darn easy that we can't figure out the problem.

So that's why I thought an exit pop-up or something would benefit us to find out what's going on in their mind. But is there a best way to do this? What software should I use for this?

I don't want to make it to difficult for the visitors because they seem to be a bit dumb

    If width is allready set to default size, could you set also the length to some default sizes? Customers are first dumb and second lazy, so we have to make everything easiest as possible.

      Try a short instruction video on the page to show people how to order. Make no longer than one minute in length
