Am I going crazy?? I can't change my thread title? Is this new or am I getting too old?? Help!?

Hey everyone, I'm not here to pimp my latest offer. I really have a legitimate concern!

I put out a WSO recently and I now want to change title of the thread. I'm not new here, this isn't the first time that I've tried to change a thread title. But, this is the first time that I haven't been able to...

I go to the thread, click on 'Edit' down in the right bottom corner, then click on 'Go Advanced' and then I change the title of my first post. But when I hit the submit button, it really does only change the title of the first post - the thread title remains. It's maddening!?!

I've done this a thousand times before, is there a new method of changing a thread title that I'm not privy to?

And yes, I did search all over the forum for a solution. But all of the other 'How do you change the thread title' threads were from at least a year ago and all said to do the same thing - has this changed recently??

Now I'm really confuzzled. I was able to change the title of this thread (the one that you're now reading) but I still can't change my WSO title! Is this a rule change that I haven't heard about?

    I see what you're talking about where the first post's title is changed, but the actual thread title stays the same. I've never actually seen that happen, it could just be lagging in the system or they could have caching setup that causes it. If it doesn't change within the next couple of hours you may want to get in touch with the helpdesk about it though. Definitely keep us updated in this thread about any changes or info you find out though!

      Nope. That's how you do it. They have been having some database issues lately with WSO threads and it may be caused by that.

      You will need to send in a support ticket if you are unable to change it.

        Yea at first I was just going to say that it must be database issues, but it did seem weird that the OP was able to make changes to the title of this thread but not the other one (unless the WSO section runs off a different database of course).
