Paying for a list of forums/blogs that allow sigs w/links?

I really want to generate more traffic to my website and I've read here (and other places) that posting on forums and blog commenting is a great way to get free targeted visitors. I've commented occasionally in Google+ communities but havent noticed much traffic at all, just few +1s here and there.

However, after searching for a 4-5 hours, I'm having ALOT of trouble finding forums/blogs that allow sigs with links. All the ones I've come across explicitly state that there are no links or you will get banned. Not sure how posting in these sites will help since my sig cannot have a link to my site so why spend the time posting great feedback if the reader has no way of checking out my content/site?

I'm wondering does anyone here know of a company/person that for money will compile a small list of blogs/forums that are high traffic and allow sigs/links? I'd rather pay for this to be done by someone with experience that knows how and where to find what I'm looking for.

Thanks for your advice.

Most blogs and forums allow a signature. When they say no links to a website, they mean in the post or thread. If they didn't want links in signatures, they could just turn it off with a click in the button.

You would be better off if you start looking at paid ads rather then looking for forums that accept links in signatures.

Alex - That's what I thought too, but upon inspecting at least 10 of the ones related to my niche (weight loss/health), the responses had no sigs, and even when I clicked on the individual's name I could not find contact info/links under their profiles (like we have here at WF).

Negam - Thanks. I will go through those lists, but after a quick look most look tech related.

Talfighel - I am already paying for ads in Facebook, 7Search, and Bing but I want to start posting in Forums and Blogs also since if I can get visitors from there, they will be highly targeted individuals interested in my topic. I am still reworking my ad content and tinkering with that to generate better responses.

In some niches it's not uncommon to have extreme difficulty finding forums that allow links of any kind. Forums are one of the few mediums in which people will absolutely lose their mind and investigate you for an entire week (trying to see if you own the link/site you posted to get you banned) if you post a link. Naturally, some forum communities are worse than others.

If you're having this much trouble finding forums to contribute on for the purpose of direct traffic generation, I'd be looking at other mediums for direct traffic, such as guest blogging. Or, I'd be trying to find highly relevant sites to purchase ad space from (BuySellAds.com comes to mind).

If you're set on having someone compile a list, you could place an ad in the Warriors for Hire section. I imagine even a novice in the internet marketing space wouldn't have much trouble researching these resources. However, based on the trouble you're already having with this research and depending on the niche you're in, the list may not be as large or as high-traffic as you'd like.

        Best of luck.

Edit: Ah, I see you said you're in weight loss niche. Yeah, forums in that niche are tough.

That would be my idea as well. Why not do both paid ads and forum signatures but track your links so you know where the traffic is coming from and also how much.

The problem is forums want to be a place for discussion and not a free advertising forum for merchants and spammers to post links.

What you could do is create an account using your real name, or business name, and contribute to the forum. Others may search for your name and find your site.

Or, if your posts have value, you could link to useful information in your posts. At times, this could include your information.

But right now you're looking for a place to drop links and that mindset, a million times over multiplied by a horde of spammers, is why you're finding forum after forum has banned sig links.

If you going to do that then you need to join the forums and become members of the forums and contribute to the forums. You cant just spam links on a forum like those nubs do who think there 'marketing'. You have to contribute.

Ok that being said you can buy a list on Fiverr

Meh. Forum sig links are okay but yes you should definitely outsource the task. Doing it yourself is too time consuming - and forums will scrutinize every post you make even more.

Even here I get my stuff nuked all the time. So what I would recommend is hiring people who do HITs or Human Intelligence Tasks. They will also post on blogs for you.

Check out sites like mturk.com. That way you can hire it out. I would say it's better to have 10 people posting on 10 forums than trying to manage it yourself.

You might want to have them post before they add their signature, something like 20-50 posts so they get acquainted. Then just have them respond to people.

There's little point in paying them to create their own threads even if they help people because one it's harder (and more time consuming) and two you'll probably get nuked.

    Just saying.

    Thanks
    Marc

Don't rely on a tactic that is based on getting more posts to have more links dropped, instead look into ways to pay for a certain number of impressions, or PPC advertising. Paid Ads always get faster results.

Forum signatures are just one piece of the jigsaw. You will go insane and waste a lot of time if that is your only method of generating traffic.

I would revisit social media marketing, I get a lot of +1s from Google and Facebook traffic.

I always recommend commenting on other authority sites in your niche and sites that have comment-luv enabled.

    Good Luck
