Does Restaurant Application help to increase business ?

From last few days I'm noticing that restaurant app industry becoming very popular and increasing interest of restaurant businessman's to take apps for their restaurant. But I like to know, does restaurant app really increase business.

        Yes i think you are right, now searches for food on mobile increasing day by day and mostly people search restaurants on mobile phones.

    lets say you have a busy customer and you have an app so you can send your order before you leave your house and the table is ready drinks are on it and the salad is served when you sit down.

    I also saw an app my friend built for a food service business, they would hit a button and it would send them a random coupon, he called it something but it was like request a special. they got one roll a day with the app.
