That's actually the exact budget we're using for our niche site case study

So, I suppose I would do that... build a niche site.

If you do most of the work yourself, you can easily get a decent looking site up, on your own domain with your own hosting, for under $20... Under $10 if you catch promotions and coupons.

In a nutshell I would suggest doing affiliate marketing/sales and promote products from Clickbank.com and JVZoo.com and create a free blog for each product using Blogger.com or WordPress.com and then promote each blog by posting ads in Facebook groups, LinkedIn groups and posts ads on Twitter.com and using your signature on as many forums as you can.

This is just one way you can get started making money online with pretty much no money.

I'd create a product to sell and then try to find JV's and bloggers who would be willing to promote the product as an affiliate. If you network around by visiting blogs you can get people to promote your products for free if you have developed a real relationship with those bloggers.

Of course you are replacing time in developing the relationship instead of paying money. You could also try guest blogging and have your bio link to your product sales page.

Yeah just get a domain name and hosting and put an offer up and drive traffic to it. Don't get stuck in the details, it's appealing to think about your domain name for three weeks because that little voice in the back of your mind is like, "Holy hell, what if I get it wrong," but you can't get it wrong. You can only grow.

So you can spend about $10 on a domain name at namecheap and $20.00 on 1 year of hosting at HostMantis and put a blog up in your cPanel using fantastico. Or you can get hosting for like 4.95 a month if you don't pay in advance. Then you can spend the rest of your ~$65 on some form of traffic generation, but with so little start-up capital, you will be doing a lot of manual traffic generation tasks yourself.

If you can, you'd create a product yourself and then "pound the pavement" and try to drum up partners to promote. This is a quick and easy way to get traffic but it's not going to fall into your lap, no matter what the WSO's say. It's not as easy as having a product that sells. You have to go get these people. I don't care if you've got a reputation or not, you still have to get them to follow through. So it's important to differentiate between what's a goal and what's not a goal in that case.

A goal is anything you have that you have total control over based on your own behavior. So approaching JV partners and asking them to promote you would be a goal that you can implement. Whether or not they say yes is out of your hands. But if you approach enough people, someone will say yes. So if you go that route, set a goal to ask people on a daily basis. This is a stage I'm near so I know what it's like to want to avoid it.

But in a nutshell, you get a site and put up a page that promotes something and drive traffic. I wouldn't worry too much about how the site is designed or whether it's a blog or whether you pre-sell something or whether you capture emails. All of those are fine choices - you will change your strategy as you evolve anyway. Right now your most important task is to make a sale.

I know several big marketers who revamp their entire sites every couple years - it's not really the site that counts. It's getting to work and making it happen.

So to drive traffic sign up for a forum in your market that allows a signature file, start participating. Find related blogs in your market that allow you to link back to your site in your name if you leave a helpful comment and start commenting. Then as time goes on, have articles professionally written (or if you are disciplined, and good, do it yourself) and submit them to these same guys to put on their site (with a link back to yours).

You'll soon start making money with those methods and then you can reinvest your profits. That's when you can go down the paid traffic route and enter any market you want because you just have to purchase ads. But right now whether you sell your own product or an affiliate product at this point is a non-issue. Affiliate product would probably be better for speed.

Then for your site, you'll quickly learn you should build your list. But when you're just getting started and you only got $100, first you should focus on making sales and getting income.

If I had all the time in the world, I would definitely start a niche website as many of the posters above mentioned. Either promote affiliate products or start building my own email list. For $100, I could get at least half a year of website hosting.

I would keep this amount in the bank for later and study internet marketing until I would learn how to make money online without spending money, and many other very interesting things everyone should know before trying to do something without knowing the basics.

$100 wont get you far. Maybe you can test a niche out with PPC, and pull some people in with solo ads... but for huge profits, you wont find it with $100.

If you have no experience before, you can start with a free blog at wordpress.com first.

Learn the ropes of affiliate marketing, some basic search engine optimization (SEO) and social media marketing (SMM) and after you're sure, you can create your own information products and sell it through your own domain name and hosting.

I would pay an outsourcer to search the warrior forum via the handy search feature, and ask them to get me a list of all threads exactly like this one. I would then study those threads to find out what people would do if they had to start over, and just had $10, $20, $50 or even $100 to their names. Being that those types of threads are made almost on a daily basis, im sure there would be plenty of great info that my outsourcer would provide. Hope this helps!!

If you have only $100, you can start blogging + SEO + affiliate program. There a lot of ways in making money on the internet with tiny capital.

I'd spent it on a unique logo and Wordpress design.

Sounds weird...but it's actually the best investment you can make.

I still see lots of people today still trying to promote best-toaster-reviews.info with a nasty free Wordpress theme.

You're not going to get lasting results with a site like that.

First step: Strong branding and site design.

Second step: Killer content

Third step: Promote the heck out of your site

if from scratch, then yeah spend it on getting your niche site up and running. Then you're gonna have to do a lot of grunt work yourself to promote your site and develop content and links and drive traffic.

If you had the site already up, then spend it on traffic generation, ppc.

I would put $50 dollars back in the bank and the rest on a domain name, hosting and maybe some nice stock imagery...

Don't spend any money on traffic generation and do it all yourself while you are learning. Study SEO / IM like crazy and pay close attention to the part about keyword research and longtails.

Forget the making money part while you are still learning and focus on great content that attracts visitors. Build a following over time and then start looking in to ways to monetise your website.

I'd buy some hosting and a domain name, set up an aweber account then use free traffic methods to build a list.

Then either sell affiliate products or create my own eBooks to sell.

If you have basic techie skills and you are capable of building your own blog/site and products then you don't actually need to invest a lot of money.

Unless you want to get a mentor or join membership sites, which for a newbie can be really helpful.

$100 starting scratch would be tough climb. But with a Domain name, product to sell and forum adverts if may be possible.

Use it for a domain, hosting, email list service such as aweber and hopefully you will be making some cash before the $100 runs out.

Heck, I did this years ago and when from $0 a month to $400 a month, and soon after $5,500 a month.

Listbuilding is just one way, and a bit of work, but i would say done right in the right niche, can be killer.
