Newbie wondering where to invest her money!

$26,000 is far to much for a site that only brings in $1,000 per month unless it has a very good income history and is not in a niche that is likely to fade. But even then its probably to high.

With $26K and time on my hands? Start learning to program apps, build them, deploy them and then sell them to Google/Yahoo/Facebook for 1 billion+. Seems to be what all the cool kids are doing these days.

As for buying a site... Do heavy research on anything before you buy and get to learn the market so you don't get ripped off. A legitimate site, at 1k/month can cost anywhere from $12k (one year of earnings) up to $36K (three years of earnings). The difference in price comes from several factors (niche, site type, traffic sources, branding, automation, etc, etc, etc, etc) that you'll need to learn in order to avoid overpaying.

I would put $25,000 in the bank. $1,000 is more then enough to get started. After you have some experience you can expand on what's working.

If I had that kind of money I would learn how to do
PPC/Media buys either with CPA or even your own product. You might burn through like $5000 to get good at it but once you know what you are doing you can make insane amounts of money very quickly.

I would invest in a great well recommended coach. That is enough money to get coaching and get profitable. There are several coaching related threads on the forum. Higher price does not mean good either. And ignore all the PMs I am sure you have gotten for posting this thread lol

No matter how much money you've got, you won't be making $1,000/month out of the door, because what you need is skills, expertise, know-how... and that's never an overnight thing.

I'd suggest reading up as much as you can about entrepreneurship and problem-solving. Figure out what problems plague you and see if you can solve them, for yourself and for others. What would YOU pay to have solved? Find others like yourself.

You say you quit a high-paying professional job- there are probably some skills and perspectives you have from that that you could leverage into the online marketplace.

Buying an existing business is usually a faster way to get started than starting from scratch. But whether you're starting a business from scratch or buying an existing business, you'll need to be able to run that business and typically, you'll need to have knowledge of the products/services you're offering and your market. Experience is also a plus.

And whether you're starting from scratch or buying an existing business, its WON'T be hands-off "autopilot" anything in the beginning. Even an existing business will require quite a time investment in the beginning to transition, keep things running, etc. You'll likely want to make changes too. Even little changes can be very time-consuming.

I see too many Warriors thinking in terms of "website" instead of "business." Your website is not a business. Your business has a website. It's more than just semantics.

If you're open to "anything," it says you're not clear and specific about what type of business you want to run. Your best bet is to start with an area you have experience in and which you have a passion for.

There's a world of difference between being an eBay reseller and being a web designer. They are two TOTALLY different things. So what do you want to do?

Talking about PPC, article marketing, etc. is way premature at this point. First you need to know what you want to do online.

First, put some of that money away for your family. Next, do not chase push button softwares or the get rich them! Focus on getting a funnel set up in your niche and do things to grow your business. You do not need a lot of money to start. The key is to start and TAKE ACTION!!!! Figure out your niche and set up a sales funnel. Market to that niche.

With that kind of money you could easily invest half of it into a site already making a decent profit, then invest the other half into growing that business.

Ignore any offers that you may get regarding your post, I'm quite sure you'll get plenty of PM'S. The first thing that I would do is get a War room subscription and start from there, study various business models and educate yourself before running out and spending that kind of money, a few hundred is more than enough to get started.

Coaching.

You can hire someone for a few hundred and they'll show you how to save a boat load of time, more than likely they'll teach you how to create products and sell them in a niche you're interested in.

There's a ton of different methods to generating the type of income you're looking for.

If I were you, I'd invest a chunk in autocontent adsense sites, $1,000 could get you 100 sites, and another $250 per month or so could get you a VA to handle the maintenance.. after a few months 100 niche sites would be creating you the type of income you're looking for and give you the chance to either focus on new methods or scale the adsense.

Long term, you wanna be looking at creating info products and building a list of buyers.

A coach can help you save a boat load of struggle and put you in the right direction.

If you invested $26,000 into a start-up blog..

You would return $1000 a month easy.

But you first need to understand content generation and what content will return your investment quicker.

So study, study, study blogging then get started but be careful you don't jump the gun!

I've done it before so I know.

Nobody can assure you about how much you can earn per month. They can only assume and give you tips. There are a lot of warriors who started with only $50 or less. They are very successful now. Some of them are making really good figure per month. All it takes proper knowledge and effort.

I would strongly advice that you should not invest money without any experience. Try to save most of your money in the bank, and spend lesser money for IM investments.

Article marketing affiliate products from clickbank is a great way to start. You can find some pretty decent writers for a good price in the warriors for hire section if you don't have time to write.

Honestly the free methods are the best but can be time consuming.

Buy a website that is currently making $1000-$2000 per month. Expand upon it and resell.

Of course, if I have limited knowledge about buying and selling websites, I wouldn't dive off in the deep end. I would look at sites more in the $500-$1000 range

Good for you for having money in the bank and for deciding to stay home.
Having your kids play with your hair has got to be more rewarding than any cubicle thing.

Keep as much money as you can in the bank. Try to start with less than $1500.

It's easier to start a business in a market you already know and with knowledge, skills and abilities you already have.

Write down a list of subjects that you already know about AND find interesting.

Then think about products or services from that list and do some market research.
Figure out something you can offer to a hungry market that solves their problems or
provides benefits or products they want.

You might be able to provide a service to the industry you were in.

Providing website design and internet marketing services is certainly an avenue.

Once you decide on some business ideas, find people doing well with similar businesses and learn from them and their business model.

I started a website on January 2nd and invested over $800 dollars. After 6 months im making $500 monthly. I only spend few hrs a week. Now im planing to create a bigger site, now that have experience but would need a partner.

From what i know! You dont need more than $10000 to create an online business Unless you're planning to create a big corporation..
