User Generated Content Blogs, How To Actually Do It?

im playing with a new blog, but i have just come to realize that more people would probably not only like to comment on my blog but actually submit and share their own content as the subject matter has many people interests.
Im thinking of building something where users can also generate and share their own stuff, kind of like Orble
only in my specific niche for the web.
Does anyone know of a good platform, script or any software that can do this for me? Cheers.
