Hey, I need a 25 minute whiteboard drawing created for my VSL. Does anybody know where I can get this done cheaply? Thanks.

LOL sorry bud, but unless you're looking for a really awful video, you're not going to get 25 minutes of whiteboard animation "cheaply".

It's like saying "Hey, I need a brand new 2014 Bentley Continental GT, does anybody know where I can get this cheaply?"

The answer to both questions is, unfortunately, nowhere.

What is your definition of cheap?

I'd probably get yourself a Sparkol account for 1 month (£16) and do it yourself - that way, your only cost is time.

For 25 mins, even someone using Sparkol is likely to charge you in the hundreds because it's a lot of work. I had an offer where I created 2 mins of video for $20 using Sparkol and that was considered cheap. If anyone would've come to me for 25 mins I would've charged $240.

Thanks for your response guys. Much appreciated. My definition of "cheap" is less than $1,000. But I do need a really good job done. I will look into Sparkol.

Besides... most of the people offering this service are using Sparkol, anyway.

There was a sudden spike a couple months ago of people discovering it and selling either products explaining how to get your account and set up your video inputs properly (really just copycats of the service tutorials), or Fiverr gigs using it to make videos for hire.

$5 for 30 seconds was nominal, so you'd need 50 gigs for $250 - and you'd still just be getting the output of a $30 service you could have signed up for yourself.

Just get on oDesk or Elance and post your requirements. Then, check out what people have to offer.

Not sure about the quality as I have not use it but there seems to be good reviews about a couple of people over in Fiverr...

Not a big fan of Fiverr but hey, who knows

Ok. So if $1,000 will not get me a professional job, how much should I pay... and who should I hire?

Again, thank you kindly for your help and advice.

      Hi there
As other people have said 25 minutes is a very very long Video Whiteborad or not. It would be a considerable amount of work to do this. Also why do you need 25 minutes? If its for training then break it up, if its a sales pitch I personally would not watch it all as its way too long.

For 25 minutes of Whiteboard you are going to pay at least $300+ for decent one (and that would be very very cheap).

Most whiteboards are a couple of minutes long and tell a short story to get a message or call to action across. I have done loads of these and have never ever been asked for one of 25 Minutes and I would always discuss this with a client and find out if it was really necessary or if it could be broken up at all.
      Hope this helps

The problem is you say 'cheap' and then in the next breath you say you 'want a really good job done'. Those two don't go hand in hand.

Your sales message is THE most important part of your offer. It's more important than your product and everything because if no one buys, they never get to see your product. This is the one part of the process you do not want to skimp on.

You should also (ideally) be getting a few different versions done and testing them against one another as you can and will notice differences in conversions between different videos.

I also think 25 minutes is a LONG time for people to sit there watching a whiteboard video. I don't think I could do it. I would look at making your message shorter but just as powerful. Only make the message as long as it needs to be to get all important information across. Not a minute more and not a minute less.

      Well said WillR
I personally hate sales videos no matter how good they are that are very long and especially the ones that don't have any controls so you cant fast forward through. I just hit the back button and move on.

It always amazes me that the so called Gurus do this all the time I would love to know whet there abandonment rates are?

Also as you said the sales message is THE most important part of the process and it needs to be powerful and have a great call to action which does not necessarily equate to long.
      Cheers

Harrydog/WillR, you guys say 25 minutes is a long presentation... yet... most of the top clickbank offers are this length, some longer. Many of these presentations are whiteboard presentations. For example, Get Lean Flat Abs with Free Tips to Lose Belly Fat

You want someone to make a video for you like that for less than $1,000? LOL.

The company that did that video charges between $1,000-$7,500 per MINUTE depending on video length and intended usage. Can you get a cheaper rate than that? Sure. But $1,000 total for a whole 25 minute video? Not gonna happen.

Basing the length of your video off of those that are selling well is not the way to do things. I bet you there are a ton more whiteboard videos out there at 25 minutes long that are making very little to no sales.

It's not about the length of the video it's about the sales message inside it. I think most products and services could convey their message in a much shorter period of time than 25 minutes.

If that's what it takes, that's what it takes. But to keep people's attention for that long you are going to need to have a very well written and captivating message.

It's also not to say those other products you mentioned above could not do shorter videos with more powerful messages and outdo their current conversions.

25 minutes for a whiteboard video?

People would not sit through it, they are actually very annoying -anything more than 2 or 3 minutes, and the novelty wears off for people - trust me on that one when my first one for my sales page was 5mins 30 long - average drop off was at 2mins 11, so I ended redoing it and doing one for under 2 mins, with a far higher completion rate.

 Terrible, blatantly wrong advice right here.

I can think of a dozen products off the top of my head that each make millions annually off of whiteboard sales videos that are anywhere between 20-50 minutes long.

But please, tell us more about how whiteboard videos longer than "2 or 3 minutes" are "very annoying" and how "people would not sit through it" despite the fact that thousands do every day and hit the buy button when they're done.

Try fiverr. There are few cheap and talented "whiteboard drawing" suppliers over there.
