Responsive Wordpress Theme?

Hello All,

I'm planning to launch a new news based website that will run from wordpress. I have it all planned, except from the wordpress theme. I have figured that as each day goes by more and more people will use mobiles more. So the site will have an app, which I can already do/know how to make. But for people who don't have my app I need a blog/magazine wordpress theme that is responsive, so it works on phones and ipads nicely.

I need the theme to work well with adverts also, so the site can get some good CTR's.

Any Ideas?

have you been using Colorabs themes yourself? Are the themes high quality in terms of coding and other things that could affect SEO? How is the support?

I use Magazine Themes 3 at the moment, which is what I run my blog on.

They cost $59 for the single site licence, but look very nice if you want the magazine/newspaper theme. And the adverts work very well.

I am debating whether to go to genesis at the moment though - they also have a nice theme called the newspaper theme which is also responsive.

Though responsive theme caters for both desktop and smartphone browsing, but IMO, a WP theme goal is still for the usual desktop/laptop viewing.

If you need an app styled to display nicely on small screen sizes of mobile devices, a customized mobile site or native app is still the way to go.

Making a theme responsive is not that hard if you are familiar with CSS.. Their is a technique called as Media Queries .. You can use Media Queries within the CSS files to adjust your site to suite various screen resolutions... Hope this will help you bro..

There are lots of "responsive" WP themes that work well for either news or magazine style sites at Elegant Themes. You pay $39 and get access to all 85 of their themes. In addition, their support and forum will get any questions asked taken care of fairly quickly.
