Hello Everyone,

Does anyone know how Fiverr works in terms of getting your gig to the top of the listings? For example, I have a gig in which I will do a professional eBook cover for $5 at:

I will create a professional ebook cover for you in just 24 hours for $5, only on fiverr.com

I do a very professional job and I'm sure people will be happy with my work...but there just seems to be so many other people offering similar services. I would like to gain more exposure for this gig but am not sure how?

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks

I'm not sure, but I think the number of feedbacks is the most important factor.

Also using the right keywords help.

I don't know much about this Fiverr thing but here's what I think might work.

Make a video showcasing your eBook skills and place in on YouTube. With the correct optimization techniques it should rank quite high. I don't know if "Professional eBook Covers" is a highly competitive keyword. Do some research. At the description box place your fiverr gig link.

Or you can go to forums where people might be interested in this service, a forum for eBook authors perhaps? Promote your service there.

If anything, I believe you can buy your way to the top on Fiverr.

The way in which Fiverr ranks gigs has changed. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to it. Generally speaking though, the more gigs you complete, the higher you appear in the search. Having a video helps considerably too!

Well, it doesn't matter if this gig on first page on fiverr or not, the image on that gig is so poor compare to others you will never make a sale unless you start displaying what you got.

This is one of the most popular e-book cover gigs ( sold over 5000 times ):

Jw12792 will design a professional and unique ebook cover or kindle cover for $5, only on fiverr.com

The seller created a video and displayed pretty good list of books.

The seller as well provided well described what you should by from him.

I would spend sometime checking other top rated sellers and why their gig is better

Posting a introductory video with the gig plays a big role to boost it's search ranking within fiverr. Buyers likes those kind of gigs the most. Fiverr also recommend adding videos.

You need to be Top Rated Seller to get your gig listed on Top.

As a potential client who has paid for lots of professional covers and graphics I would not use your service as it is. Half of the page is taken up by a picture of you and the other half of poor quality looking graphics.

Sorry to be harsh but you need honest feedback.

I will buy from you one gig. Please remember that you need to sell nine more. That way you will be on level one. Get your friends to buy from you. That way you can reach level one right away. Also, make sure that the work you do is super max. Vendors with 100% rating get more exposure.

Try to get some customer and feedback. This is the only way, I believe.

I don't mean to sound harsh, but I have to agree with other feedback - your gig doesn't show me anything I would consider to be a professional ebook cover.

I highly recommend taking a look at what people consider to be "professional" ebook covers these days. There is a lot of great info out there about the differences in format for fiction vs. nonfiction covers; the types of images used; etc. You can't get away with a generic stock image graphic and a few words of text slapped together in Paint or a simple graphic program any longer. There are tons of truly professional ebook cover designers out there.

Once you have some more info, and some different ideas, I'd suggest updating your gig listing. Create a few samples (individual samples, not a collage); create a short promo video; and write some more alluring copy text to describe what you're really offering.

Something I've seen in passing that I would assume would bring in money is running a media buy through a popular niche website. Try a website called Buy Ads | BuySellAds Find a website that you feel would fit well with your ad and order up some banner traffic to test. If you find a high converting website at a low dollar you may be in the money.

I've seen people do this before. Also try doing some research with whatrunswhere.com - You'll notice a pile of running ads. The longer the ad is running determines a potential successful fit. WhatRunsWhere has a 1 week membership for a $1. (*No affiliation just find it to be a good tool)

You can get a competitive advantage by doing things REALLY FAST. 24 hour turnaround time might help you get more eyeballs and potential clients.

I've been wondering about this as well, since i've been pondering putting up a fiverr gig just to see how/if it would work in the long run. Has anyone had any experience with attracting clients and earning money during a longer period with fiverr gigs?

Make a video wearing a tin foil hat, dancing in your undies and do a British accent.... they seem to like that kind of thing. Then you will have a shot at the top spot

Why not focus on getting sales first than rankings? You can then collect feedbacks, level up and when more sales come to you, your ranking will go up.

You need a video and if possible deliver your work in 24 hours ,
therefore you gig would be in New,Has Video And 24 Hour Delivery. You also do not want to depend on fiverr to send you traffic, promote your gigs on forums, social media and anywhere possible where their might be potential buyers.

Fiverr is a site where a lot of gigers pile up, this means a gig that you are offering will definitely not unique for there are duplicates or shall I say hundreds of duplicates. The question is. How can you be notice from other gigers that share the same gig with you? The answer is don't settle on one gig, make more gigs and offer them. Once you get pass one and completed on the gig eventually, clients will be looking for you and will be asking to perform some other gigs.

You asked for the positive rating for every time you deliver your work to clients...use warrior forum to promote your profile page...try to increase votes on social websites button on your each gig...these will surely give some benefits to you...also find the best keywords for your gigs...

    Hi every one wins:

Thank you for the excellent high quality work you did on your gig. OK this one is for an e-book cover. I plan to reorder more gigs.

Perhaps you can add Fiverr to your signature to get more exposure.

I had an old fiverr gig that used to get a lot of exposure. Just turned my gigs back on. If I see anything cool happen will certainly share my insights.

The first time around the toughest part was getting my first one sold. After that I had a couple coming in every week - for the month that I left them up. So for now, I'd echo everyone else who mentioned feedback as key.

Fiverr is a great way to get in front of a lot of people. Their network is huge. I'm glad to say I just earned level 2 this afternoon! epol15's Profile Page on Fiverr.com I am not sure exactly how they "rank" their gigs but what I do is research first what you might be interested in doing and see what the top and current sellers are doing, 2nd, enter keywords that people would use. single, double but no more than three words per phrase. Include the word in your title and description as well and make sure to create a short video to add when you create your gig. Give it 24 hours or so and staying logged out go check your categories and search for your gig with your keyword and you might just see yourself there.

I noticed a big difference in gig traffic once I started getting added to people's "My Collections" and getting reviews. It may also help to cast a wide net and have a presence on Youtube & Facebook. Just one link in the right place - but you never know which place that is, or which customer is your major referral.

If I were shopping for covers I don't see anything desirable on your gig page. You need more samples with slicker graphics. Something better than your customer could do for free with an online cover generator.

You've got your face pic in your member profile. You don't need it in your gig, too. Try to put about 8 cover pics in there with some variety. Design a few dummy covers if that helps.

I would want more text, too. Assure clients that they can give you input of their ideas. Describe the customer benefits of choosing your service over others. What makes your value unique? What makes your experience valuable? (I know, I need to take my own advice)!

Finally, follow up with customers who buy from you. Connect with them to see how their results are working for them. Let them know if they are satisfied, you'd appreciate a rating.

    Good luck.

I think there is a great factor in how many collect your gig plus the social sharing of your gig as well. Not only the feedback.

I had a really great crowd behind me sharing on social sites (twitter mostly) and that had a huge impact on my ranking.
