Help with a niche market.

OK I have been doing keyword research for a few days and have found one I like in particular. It satisfies the minimum criteria for traffic, cpc, and their are no domain names with the keyword in it. The moz rank is below 4 and the average for the top 10 was under 2.5 also the domain authority is low as well. But there were some indeed jobs in the top 6, is it hard to out rank them when they have no backlinks?

The cpc is really high and the backlinks especially the juice links are very low. This looks very promising but on the other hand it looks like someone should be dominating this niche, which sent up a red flag. Did I find a gold nugget or did I find another fluke. I can't disclose the niche, sorry.

Thanks, arob3

I've been marketing online since 1997 and I have no freakin' idea what you're talking about. Pick something you like and then build a business around it. Yeah, it's that simple.

Sorry for the misunderstandings, as you can see I obviously am still new to this. Here is a picture from long tail pro.
The top 5 consists of 2 .edu sites and 1 career overview sites and one job listing from indeed, but nothing that delves into how to "insert niche" also none of the sites answer any of the quetions that most people starting out have. I am still weary and havent put any money into this niche but the lack of backlinks are what really caught my eye. Hope this helps

You will have a hard time with the edus for sure. Can you not just buy the domain put some relevant content and test it. Your out very little. I bet you rank it on the first page for sure and I bet you can make some money monetizing it later. If its something you do not want, then flip it.

I think you picked winner though and Im not going to tell you to pm me with any details because that is your niche and you should not pm no one with it.

I do think it will work though, You may only hit number 5 on google but people like me don't even click on .org .edu or .gov links.

Hate to break it to you but most of this type of analysis (and the methods you may be considering) is moot these days. Waste of time.

      I agree with travlinguy.

Go for something you have a passion in and simply do it better than the competition Not better as in building artificial authority, better as in actual performance (visitor satisfaction).

Try using Squidoo to see if you could rank for your keyword. Add Adsense, Amazon, or other monetization methods in your Squidoo lense. If you make profits, then create your own website and link to it from your Squidoo article.
