  • I would either change your banner design to increase CTR or make sure it is above the fold on the site your buying ads on.

    •

If I sold Boeing jumbos and had 4 clicks on 15,000 views from a airplane buying vip uber-private forum I would be extatic since my jumbo ads have a 25% conversion rate

how on earth do you expect anyone to offer advice without any info

  • Go back to the drawing board.
  • I suspect that you've bought PTC junk traffic, am I right? If so, don't ever buy such traffic again, it's not worth it even if you maybe pay $9.95 for 15,000 views. It's the most "untargeted" traffic you can get since the ones who click on the ad to your site only are interested in earning money by clicking on the ad, then they leave your site and move on to the next ad and click on that and so on.

    • I don't pay for views, I pay for clicks only., I paid 10$ - 0.25$ per click and it is 40 clicks
  • Probably the traffic generating, seo service you are using is sending you fake traffic. Just a guess. Also it is possible that the product on sell is not relevant to the content/ may be people don't believe the claim you are making etc. you should revisit your marketing strategy. Lots of things to consider. Post a link, lets see what the fuss is about :-)
  • Thanks, but I think the colors will not help, I am promoting affiliate stuff. I think the main problem is wrong banner place in that site

  • Yeah, this is very likely with redirect link sites like adf.ly and others

  • The banner ad could work. It could also not work and might need better copy. But like you said, put it up above the fold first.
  • It's a traffic exchange (kinda), and your affiliate link you posted is not cool.
  • Eh, so he posted his offer no big deal. It's not like he's trying to siphon traffic. But your bit.ly link doesn't work. It's saying you might be blacklisted, etc.

There is a good argument for having your own link that you control from your own domain, or a stable link tracker. Anyway, promoting on that site I can see why you don't any clicks.

Probably because most of the traffic bounces immediately because the site is painful to the eyes, there's a lot of flashing ads competing, and yours is all the way at the bottom.

    • Do you think only top advertising spots can produce better results?
  • Yes in most cases. They call it above the fold. Anything you can see when the page loads, without scrolling, is better than not seeing it. Usually.

Still you might get better ROI with an ad that's at the bottom, you might not, everything must be tested of course. Maybe you'll make money with 15,000 views and 4 clicks.

But you should test top spots.

    • yes, sometimes ads that is not on the top spot can has better clicks/sales rate, I will test it. Rather than views and clicks, I need clicks on those whose converts to sales
  • You won't know what the problem is until you make another (better) banner and try that one, if you get more then 4 clicks with 15K impressions, then the banner was just not that appealing to your target audience.
  • Yep. Try to advertise on Forex sites too. It's more targeted to your offer.
  • You have one of two problems.

The design of the banner sucks and isn't getting clicked or your banner spot is hidden. You should always only use banner spots that are located on the visible part of the webpage people can see without scrolling. Anything below this will instantly decrease eyeballs on your banner and result in less clicks.

It also depends on how many other banners and ads are on the same website. If your banner s located in a block of other banner ads then you are going to get less clicks as well.

When looking for banner placements I always look for 300 x 250 spots that are not surrounded by other ads and are located above the fold. These will give you the best chance of a high CTR.
  • Something is not converting well,it could be that the traffic source has weak traffic Or your banner is not converting well.
  • I would advice you must analyze your Campaign first. Look at your opted niche, target audience and the topics they are interested in.
  • well, I am excited, after next 5K views I got 4 clicks, when I changed banner to this one:

It is still not very good sales copy for that offer, but banner works
