30K Twitter Followers, 10K Blog Readers, Motivational Niche Need Monitization Ideas

So... I have a blog that has 10K subscribers and a linked twitter account with 30k followers.

I need some ideas on how to monetize this traffic.

I've had no luck finding advertisers... although I haven't really put much effort here. I've got my own e-book products but they only produce a few hundred a month. I've looked at affiliate products but most are crap and I don't want to promote them. Finally I've done some Amazon Book recommendations and I do get people to buy the books, but Amazon only pays 4%.

I've got the template done for a membership site, but I'm not sure what content to put in it? I was thinking a low membership fee like $5/mo because of the potential I have. I just can't think of the content.

No, I'm not going to tell you my site. I don't need the competition. :-)

Any help would be appreciated.

Can't think of the content? There are so many categories inside the motivational and self-help niche its not even funny.

Do a search inside amazon's self-help and motivational categories or any related category and see what results you get. Search inside those books indexes. There's a lot of stuff inside this niche You just need to know where to look at.

Those are impressive statistics. How did you get the 30k followers?

You could always sell the site, subscribers and Twitter account. I would think some existing guru in the self help niche would want that kind of instant customer base.

Well, perhaps adding adsense to your site would generate a steady
stream of income... For your membership site you should think about
adding a forum to your site... The average customer sticks with the
membership sites for 2 to 3 months... By creating a community you'll
be able to find out what you customer's greatest needs are and sell
them exactly what they're looking for... You'll also have your customers
sticking with the site a little longer...

You can try to get affiliation directly with book authors. Wouldn't need Amazon. With the stats like yours it might happen.

But the absolute best way to monetize is to have your own product to sell.

Is your site just about generally being motivated or is it more specific?

You could create an e-course like "52 ways to stay motivated" and each way can be a report or video sent via email every week for a year.

If your site is broken up into different sub niches within the motivation niche you could create an e-course for each different sector.

The good thing about these type of continuity sites is that you have members paying you for months on end and you only have to create the content once as opposed to writing new content every month.

Whilst I haven't yet implemented this model I have been learning about it through Jimmy Brown's Membernaire site.

        Thanks everyone... Some great ideas...

If anyone has a product that they'd like to do a promotion on my site with let me know... In the interim I guess I'll be developing my own products as well...

I didn't want to do that, because this is just a side project for me... my main business is another online business.

Someone mentioned selling the site & twitter account. Any idea what it would be worth for this amount of subscibers/followers?

        Thanks again.
