How much do you think recipetant.com is worth for just the name?

Hi,

Just curious I have the domain RECIPETANT.com and I can also include RECIPTANTS.com as a bonus if I sell it.

Before I do I just wanted some of your opinions on Warrior Forum to what the least I should accept please.

I am thinking it is worth a lot because of the fact that so many real single dictionary words are taken and that it could easily be a good name for something like a new email service.

Thanks in advance for any of your good help.

~Gary.

I don't know what that means.

    I would say $5?

Not much since it's not a word - sorry. Unless a large majority of people misspell 'recipient'.

So you want to sell a miss spelled dot com? I don't see any value in it

Or is it spelled both of those ways in the uk?

If you actually registered RECIPETANT, you misspelled recipient. Neither of them would be worth much IMO. recipient might be one word, but not a good commercial word like furniture, kitchens, sex, cars, pets, etc. You get the idea.

    He has RECIPETANT.com and RECIPTANTS.com

Both are non existent words, or misspellings of recipients in which case I hope he didn't pay alot for either..
I'd say $5.00 for both would be a rip off for the buyer

Ok, I asked for opinions but calling any potential buyers ripped off seems a bit aggressive.

Even if they just made a buck a month between them that is still a good return. I was not looking for buyers here. I have bigger business to attend to.

Noted that you seem to hate misspelled words.

The domains aren't worth anything. They are typos of a non-commerce term. Even spelled properly that have no commercial intent, no ads, nada.

haha, I thought the same thing.

I was trying to figure out, "ok he has recipe.. and what is the other word? What is tant?"

        lol.

I thought Tant might have been some sort of culinary arts school.

I was thinking it was a misspelling of "recipe-tante" - a site for my French aunt's recipes.

I'm afraid these names have no value at all - not even their registration-fees.

Have to agree worth nothing, both for the correct and incorrect spelling. Sorry

not to mention Google will replace it with the correct spelling if somebody was to search for it.

However, lucky I am here to help you sell this. You have two words here:

    1. Recipe
    2. Tant - A small scarlet arachnid

So if somebody had a niche for recipes for small scarlet arachnids, this might be a hit. Hold out, that person might be somewhere

Your best bet with a domain like that is to stick up some Google Analytics and see what sort of traffic (if any) you are getting from misspells. Once you are armed with those stats you could go and sell the domain to whoever owns the domain people are misspelling.
