Has anyone ever hired a narrator before?

I was thinking about hiring someone to read my ebook. This way I could offer it as a bonus or as an upsell.

Does anyone have any recommendations on companies or people for hire?

The book I want read is a religious christian book, also the language is very dated (the book was written in the early 1910s) so the person would need to be able to handle this type of reading.

Any thoughts?
I am not posting a job offer, I am merely asking if anyone has and recommendations for people to hire.

Also, if you have hired someone before, what was the costs ... just a rough estimate is good.

    I recently hired someone for a language book i had created as i dont have a good enough foreign accent i was no good doing it and i paid someone $300 just because there was a lot of different readings to do but i suppose it depends on how big it is and how unique the voice that you require.

    We've used Cristian's service at VoiceOverPal.com several times.

    He's currently charging $7 for 500 words but you could see if he is willing to negotiate on price.
