A Quick Tip To Make More Money For List-Owners

Hey folks, I have a cool little tip for you. Nothing ingenious, but I hope it helps a few people out.

If you have a list in any niche at all, I highly suggest you occasionally send your subscribers to Amazon via an affiliate link. This can be via a promotion, or even via something you mention in passing.

If you have a list of say 2,000 people, you can send a good chunk of these folks to amazon. Your affiliate link I think will last for 24 hours, and anything these folk buy on Amazon after they click your affiliate link, will earn you a commission.

People buy stuff from Amazon all the time, and even if no-one buys the thing you are promoting, I'll bet a few people buy some other stuff that makes you some dough.

This can work especially well during the Christmas period, when people are buying lots of stuff anyway.

Your goal with Amazon is to just get your affiliate link in there.

Just recently, I sent an email that provided lots of value. At the end of the email, I said:

Meanwhile, if you really want to get stuck in right now, you can always take a look at the book that first introduced ME to high intensity interval training. Here's the link:

>>your cloaked Amazon affil link<<
Note that I don't mention what the book is, so I get a few extra curiosity-clicks. Curiosity or not, I still get my affiliate link in there.

Out of a list of 3,000 people, only 2 people bought the actual book, but I made 21 total Amazon sales, giving me around $30.

That's not amazing, I'm sure you can tweak it to get a far better click-through rate, and with a bigger list, at the right time, you could make a hell of a lot more.

Amazon don't allow their affiliate links to be placed within
    your e-mails.

You need to have your affiliate link placed on a website
    that Amazon can see.

I wouldn't recommend putting your Amazon Associate
account at risk by including affiliate links within hidden
    processes like e-mails.

You can however use e-mail marketing to send your
subscribers to a pre-sell page on your site that contains
    your Amazon-related offer.

How does the cookie work if the same user clicks on multiple Amazon affiliate links within a 24 hour period?

You can also use CPA offers instead of Amazon products.

Says it all, for me - that's why I don't bother with Amazon.
