Generating a list with facebook?

Hello fellow warriors, I have a burning question for you guys. Would it be wise to use a "pre-filled" form (for generating a list) with facebook?

I'm using GetRespond to create my form for signing up for my list and it has an alternative way for signing up besides for just filling out the form with your name and email address. If the visitor is logged into facebook when they visit the website, the sign-up form is already filled w/ the person's information (e-mail & name) and all they have to do is hit register to sign up.

The reason as to why I'm asking this is because I don't see other websites using this tactic to add contacts to this list so I'm wondering if I should.

-Thanks

    Good day/evening.

It is rather convenient to have a form that automatically retrieves the basic information of your prospect. However, we are living in times where people are concerned about privacy issues. If someone were to see their info automatically inserted they might feel violated, and then not sign up.

On the other hand, some people might see the convenience of this and opt in.

You will have to do more research on the psychological impact this may have. Weigh the pro's and cons, then implement an opt in form. Maybe you could even split test between a standard opt in form, and the one that retrieves information. At the end of the testing period, select the form that has a higher conversion.

    I hope this info helps.
