Hey guys and gals,
I was wondering how many of you have tag lines for your websites. Im trying to think of tag lines for my two websites but its actually really hard.
Anyone have any advice?
Thanks

I use song lines from my favorite Spice Girls music!

Or just something simple like, "Improving Your Gold Swing Since 1998"

Think of a line that will build authority or make you more relatable to your audience. Write down 5 to 10 ideas and let em marinate for a few hours.

Taglines can be absolutely essential to define your brand.

They can reflect your biggest benefits in just a few words. Who doesn't want and NEED that?

I just put up a video on one of my websites talking about a tagline I came up with on the 4th of July.

I was severely lagging, and I won't lie, I'm not into the 4th at all.

I got a cuppa joe at one of the good coffeehouses around here and thought to myself, "Mmmm, now the day can begin."

    Boom!

There's an awesome tagline for a coffee company.

It gets into the heads of what customers think and connects with the emotion that a lot of coffee drinkers feel, whether they can put it into words or not.

    What's your business?

What are the biggest benefits your customers receive?

Why do your customers want what you've got?

Let's get you a tagline baby!

One more question: How do I know if someone else has taken my tagline or not? Or does that not really matter?
    Thanks

Searching it in Google is a good start. Having a unique tag line is a good idea because you don't want to be building familiarity for someone else's brand.

I have been trying to think of tag lines for my websites but they are all either too generic or dont really tell my visitors what im offering. Do you really need a tag line? Whole foods in n out and even google dont have them.

Many use their USP as the tag line for their business.

      Unique Selling Proposition

What is the one thing, the greatest benefit, the thing you want to brand your company with? What sets you apart from all your competitors? Successful businesses differentiate what they do or offer from others in the same niche.

The USP should be a succinct and memorable phrase or claim that elevates you above the competition and forces your prospects to consider what you are offering over other businesses.

Find a good USP and it can become the perfect tag line.

      Good luck to you,

      Steve
