How would you monetize these domain names?

Hello Warriors,

I got a few local (city name) based domain names. There is one domain name that I set up for real estate, but at this point I am not sure wether to monetize it running some sort of affiliate program, adsense, or to sell ad-space to realtors in the area.

What do you think could get me the most money? If the answer is affiliate program, could you recommend a good real estate affiliate program?

PS: I understand that nothing says I cannot do all three things in this domain name... I just want to see which one you think is the best...

    Hi,

    I suggest you to go with ad-space for local business owners...
    Simply search google for those cities local listings, and make the
    list of all who are doing adwords... and send them email offering them
    ad-space at your site as an targeted, discounted alternative to their
    adwords advertising.

    When i suggest above method, it does not suggest that you should not test other means like adsense, affiliate....

    It depends on what kind of traffic you're going to drive to the site. In other words, what're you going to do to assure your advertisers get their money's worth in exposure? Will you have some kind of authority site for home buyers, or a restaurant and business directory, or a family fun portal?

    It's difficult to make a decision like this in a vacuum - you've got to know the other half of the equation before you can nail down a real choice.

    If these are going to be "how to make money in real estate" sites, you may want to check out Trump University-the address is trumpuniversity.com. If that is something you want to promote as an affiliate, then sign up with an affiliate company called ROI Rocket-their address is roirocket.com By the way, I didn't turn these addresses into links because I don't want to violate any forum rules.

    Anyway, Trump University would have good name recognition and it has an affiliate payout of $60 per sale. The cost to your customers would only be around $35.

    Call local businesses and offer them a year-long advertising package. Create a few articles for each city as a filler so you at least have some good content on which to support these advertisers.

    You can easily create a directory of businesses for each geodomain.
