I've never used Fiverr and have always been sketchy on this place.

Whether or not we're getting the full story here is one thing, but the dude's an unprofessional ass from what it looks like.

agreed, they should atleast give some explanation other then, "sorry your account is under review, i cant give any details. "

Where exactly are you seeing that he said your account was banned?

      You don't know why?

The first thing I read was "Your account is under review due to complaints from buyers"

It says to contact them in 30 days. As chase said, I see no wording that says banned.

I appreciate this is annoying but you'd probably help your cause more if you deleted this post. If they see this inside the 30 days, it won't help your chance of getting things moving again and saying things like "plz be professional trust me it's not hard you just have to use ur brain as a human" is neither professional and unlikely to help you.

I agree that the customer service is poor. I appreciate that they can't be specific about the complaints to protect buyers, but they could at least tell you what the next steps are for you. For example, should you continue to take on new buyers, will your money definitely be released in 30 days etc?

However, your argument with them, including sending multiple messages before they've replied to the last is a bit unprofessional. I'm sure they're aware of the situation with buyer complaints and don't need you to state the obvious to them. They are obliged to protect both buyers and sellers so if they have received multiple complaints, rightly or wrongly, it is their duty to investigate.

I hope this is resolved for you but my advice for now would be to take it on the chin and look for better ways to sell your services that do not involve a middle man or provider.

Max is one of the nicest customer support team members that work for Fiverr. I do suggest that you wait the thirty days and then find out. Also have a look through your order cancellations to see if there is anything new there that you missed.

well known fact that fiverr customer service is very poor ...

Fiverr support is really weird and I have seen all over internet that they usually block accounts / withdrawal options when either you are violating their TOS or buyers are complaining about you.

The best way to win the game in fiverr and pretty much anywhere else is to keep your customers happy and try to overdeliver them to have a positive review and ratings.

You can also ask each of your users to give you a positive review when you deliver your product and as a bonus you can offer them some other gift / service as an incentive to get positive ratings.

This really helps and one of my friends made around $2000 from fiverr in a month or so using this strategy, so it helps.

I agree their customer service isn't the best, I have hardly had any response when I've had questions.

And yes it is tough the way people can rate you randomly and it may have nothing to do with your service, just that maybe they didn't understand what they were paying for. I always overdeliver, but getting good buyers to review doesn't always happen, so thanks for that tip automizeanything!

No matter the type of work your doing, it apperantly isn't lasting. For example if it's SEO you may be supplying an intial boost, but eventually then losing rankings. Buyers that left pos feedback when you completed the order probably are going to go back and remove it, and that's why you didn't know about it..

Your account is only under review, but if you've misbehaved even a little bit (ie. requesting or giving your email/contact info) they will now find it and you will be 100% banned...

I agree to it VinnyBock, in fact this happened to one of my friends as well.

The way i think to handle this is to add a statement (such as warning) in the gig description specifying the details to which extend this gig would be helpful and any other details and let buyers know not to order if they have any concerns.

You can also offer upsells to your current customers specifying the details of your another gig while you deliver your order.

We can not please everyone, but once you do few of them, you would get good recurring business from them.

        Thanks

You are welcome featherstory. We learn lot of things when we take it seriously as one of the major earning source. People are earning living from fiverr and similar sites.

First of all I'll tell you the argumentative tone you took with their staff isn't productive. If you are in a disadvantaged situation and are trying to get something out of them you should ALWAYS be courteous/supportive. Never accusatory, attacking, questioning their policies, questioning the truth of the situation (reports), or just generally being argumentative. It solves nothing. If AFTER the situation is fixed/resolved you want to file a gripe or get an argumentative tone... then by all means. By being argumentative you are essentially subconsciously confirming the merits of the account lock.

This is a good tip for life, not just this specific situation. Issue with your phone bill? A retailer? Etc. ALWAYS be courteous/respectful when you are trying to get something out of someone. Afterwards make all the complaints you want.

You signed up to fiverr and accepted their terms of service. You are at their mercy regarding all decisions and opinions (again why my first paragraph is SO important). Again YOUR opinion of the situation, of your quality of work, of customers... DOESNT MATTER. The only way you can better yourself in a situation like this is to be as supportive and respectful as possible. Even using proper punctuation/capitalization matters (which you didn't do). Because it shows a level of intelligence and most of all... RESPECT.

Lastly when they say they can't give you more details... hitting them with 2-3 more responses and then getting mad because they DIDNT respond... doesn't help your case. I hope you can see this and reflect objectively without letting your emotions get in the way. Because, its business... and if you can't handle business discussions without getting emotional... then you really shouldn't be in business (work for someone else who can handle all business communications correctly).

Maybe the quality of work you do isn't up to par? Maybe the buyers didn't want to complain directly to you but did to fiverr. (I can say, from past experience outside of fiverr, there have been many times were it wasn't worth the time/effort to complain to the original service provider... but instead I complained at a later date to their company or sometimes I didn't complain at all... but it doesn't mean I was satisfied). Another point here is fiverr is going to cater to the CUSTOMER'S opinion.... not anyone else's. Don't like it? Don't use their service. Sell services yourself outside fiverr (as others have mentioned). The point is you have to conform to their rules/policies if you want access to their customer base. So plan accordingly and expect the worst case scenario to happen.

Also as a another aside... (related to building positive reputation). Add a photo, preferably a face shot of you smiling (but not cheesy). It adds credibility and makes you more inviting.

I hope no one takes offense to this post. Because that wasn't my intention. However when we see business communication like this, it should NEVER be acceptable and should ALWAYS be pointed out (with the hopes of it being corrected). Again, it's not personal. But I also wouldn't be doing anyone justice by not being direct and blunt about said issues. If you are ever emotionally charged over a situation (happens to all of us) write out your response.... then walk away and do something else for a couple hours (or a day) then come back and re-read what you wrote and change accordingly. NEVER send knee-jerk business communication fueled by emotions. Remember too, things you write online can follow you everywhere and forever.

I could'nt agree more. My experience with Fiverr Support has been excellent. I earn more than half of my income through Fiverr. Sometimes I receive negative feedback, but I always bounce back and have awesome report between the support staff and my clients. Just stay positive and friendly and everything will work out!

We've used fiverr for a lot of video gigs and their customer support has usually been great. It's probably more buyer orientated to maintain a good market; they want to ensure the buyers.

Do they get any specific benefit from limiting a legitimate seller? I think they simply want to protect the marketplace. It's more buyer orientated to encourage an active market which benefits sellers and buyers.

What service did you provide? I'd guess it might have to do with search engines?

As you say Fiverr is a buyers market, but not very good for sellers who can get banned over a few negative feedbacks.

I have gotten some really quality voice overs for powerpoint presentations on fiver. and a few other things here or there.. It is definitely buyer friendly, and there is a lot of crap on there, but somethings that people do for 5 bucks amazes me

Honestly, that is a pathetic business stance for them to take and one that will ultimately destroy them in the end if they continue such practices. Think about it, someone could sign up with multiple accounts or use their friends to order gigs from their biggest competitors and systematically destroy their competition leaving themselves a monopoly on their particular service when they complain. I know I wouldn't go to work everyday if my 9-5 said my work was under review and I might get paid 30 days later. What a horrible business model.

As Dan Brown says - Selling on Fiver is a pain.

Well, I hate version two as it is buggy and then some. At least we had a working site with version one. Right now version two it gives me errors.

Fix it until it is broke and then fix it again.

That's really messed up. I was actually planning on starting to use Fiverr, but after reading this. No way.

I understand they need to protect buyers from scams. But if a user has 98% postive review and 2% negative, it's obvious that he's not scamming.

If a user has 60% positive and 40% negative, then the account should be under review.

If a user has 40% positive and 60% negative, then the user should be banned.

    It's pretty simple, really.
