    Good question and with recent algo changes, there doesn't seem to be a clear answer at the moment.

    Most important question, is this a first or only book? If its first or only, and you don't have successive books written yet...

    Consider leaving this one alone and getting the next one written.

    Seriously.

    If you have another book(s) aimed at the same readership, then go forth and promote...

    Also, at this point, if you are getting steady sales, no matter how small... be aware that going Free may tank your sales and your ranking.

    Non of that. First what you need is few review's but from buyers to rank on Amazon Kindle store and than you can set up some free promotion but I suggest 24 hours only!!!
