2009 type sales pages - post panda?

These sales pages clearly aren't ranking anymore. But I wanted to ask this awesome community, are there any type of sales pages that I can build that would possibly rank?

Basically I have an ecommerce site that I'm building, and spanning from that site, I'd like to make promotional product pages.

Those product pages/sales pages would be part of select niches. How can I make those pages rank??? What type of design style along with SEO would google like in this regard in parallel to the latest panda update??

      You'd be stupid not to try to rank a sales page.

      If I owned a business, I would install a front door so people could enter.

        Actually, you'd be stupid to compromise a sales message for SEO. You serve one master or another but not both at the same time.

    The basics still apply.

    Good textual content
    Use your title and alt tags
    Quality backlinks
    Skip the pronouns as much as possible it and them do not rank on the SEs

      Rick good sir I hear you completely. But what are the advanced measures now you could suggest. Indeed, the basics defintely work! :-) But, I'm not see sales pages period work anymore. Should I focus on making my main ecommerce site, when its done, an authorative site then allow google to pick up on the particular product pages??

      For now, I will create the sales pages and do the social media promotions. But SEO/atop of google is still king!

        If it helps, and I admit to being amiss with this, Youtube videos rank real fast. I know that's basic as well, but if I am amiss in following through on this others may be as well.
