Need advice from Network Marketers

I know there are some of you out there who are involved in Network Marketing and it's you I want to ask advice from.

My husband is involved with a startup network marketing company here in Israel. the company is currently branching out to other countries like Russia and the U.S. I'm wondering if any of you know how to go about finding and "buying" heavy hitters in the U.S. I say "buying" because I recently discovered that that's how it's done. I heard that Monavie got Randy Shrader for $7 million, for example. I am not familiar yet with the big names in network marketing (except for Randy Gage and Eric Worre). Do any of you have ideas about how to go about finding and attracting the big guns?

Also, do you think they would consider joining a good MLM with an excellent opportunity if the price is right?

Thanks in advance for your responses

(Sorry for the long post, I'm a little passionate about network marketing )
Remember easy come, easy go. So let's say you buy a heavy hitter in. Things are going great, you're making $500,000 a year because this heavy hitter is really going at it and building a great team under you.

Then you wake up one morning and look at your downline report and it's almost empty. The heavy hitter got a better offer from another company and took his downline with him. Now you're used to making $500,000 a year, you've probably upgraded your lifestyle (aka bills) and literally overnight you're now down to making maybe $5,000 a month. I'm not exagerrating, it happens all the time (it happened once to a very good friend of mine).

I used to be big in network marketing. I was the youngest person in my company to reach the highest executive level (I was 18). Once I got to the top, I realized how crooked all the other people at the top were and gracefully bowed out. I got a lot of offers from other companies, but I just never thought it was fair to those people. I got started in my first company because I was truly passionate about the mission of the company. I knew if I accepted a place in another organization I would have no loyalty to it.

Attrition is your number one enemy in network marketing. Loyalty is everything in order to make a vibrant and successful organization. The practice of "buying in" does not foster any loyalty, instead it fosters a jump ship mentality. I strongly caution you against doing it.

Plus, I found out from personal experience that these "heavy hitters" don't really build a business. They are a figure head for you to point to. They make all their money from selling tools and resources. The company I was with would proudly say that their top dogs made all their money from product being sold and not from tools. Then when I got to the top the CEO asked me to put together a training DVD and start doing trainings around the country. He also told me that I would be paid a nice royalty on it all and that it would count towards my official income recognition from the company. This completely destroyed my faith in the company. As it turned out all the skeptics that said the top earners make it from selling tools were right. This company was willing to put me up on a stage and say I made x amount of dollars as if to show that others could do it too. Well, unless everyone was going to start making a company endorsed training program to sell, it was very deceitful. Truth is, all the top income earners are where they are because they sell tools and many of them were paid by the company to join, placed at the top of an already established organization, all so the company could point to them and say to their people, "See, you can do it too!" Very misleading and unethical.

There is great money to be made in network marketing, goodness knows I made enough that I left my company and didn't work for over a year. But I did it the old fashioned way (all one on one contact). I was too naive to do it any other way.

My opinion, heavy hitters are not worth the trouble if you have to buy them in, as soon as someone else has a better offer they'll jump ship and take your business with them. Work on building stability and loyalty. If you can get a heavy hitter simply because they are truly interested in the company then you are way better off. Besides, you're missing out on all the undiscovered big hitters out there. I joined my company because my boyfriend (now husband ) was in it. He thought it was "cute" that I got started with him to support him. Neither one of us had any idea that I would even do it full time, much less break records.

Good luck, I wish you much success! We need more good network marketing success stories. Feel free to pm me if have questions or want advice.
